Bucky hadn't seen you in two weeks. He wondered if you had quit, so he interrogated Nat until she broke down and told him that you had been coming during the night time shift.
"Thanks, Nat."
"Bucky, I know that look. What are you planning?" Nat asked and squinted her eyes at him.
"I'm going to wait for her to come in tonight. Then I'm pulling her aside, explaining that she misunderstood me, and that I'm falling in love with her."
"Love?" Nat asked, surprised.
"Yep. I know it's fast, but the things I feel for her are different than any other woman I've ever been with. Don't worry I'm not going to tell her I'm in love with her, just that I'm headed in that direction...at a very fast pace."
"Bucky, I don't think that's a good idea." Nat cautioned him. "Maybe just give her a little time."
"I've given her two weeks and it's been fucking eating me alive, Nat. I can't wait any longer."
"What about Brock? You know he's been trying to get back into her good graces, calling her and even stopping by her place, after their date went sideways. I told her he's only doing it because he sees her as some sort of challenge now. She said there was no way in hell she would ever let him near her again, but he can be extremely convincing when he wants to be. We all know what a deceptive prick he is."
"Y/n isn't stupid and she isn't the type of woman to go back on her word. I doubt she'll ever give him another chance. But, just so we're clear, if he goes anywhere near her again, he's going to end up in a wheelchair with a feeding tube shoved down his throat."
Bucky walked away from her, heading towards the back of the building.
"Ah, shit." Nat muttered.

Bucky was walking down the hallway towards Steve's office when he heard Brock's voice drifting from the employee lounge. He was planning to ignore him until he heard Brock say your name. Bucky stood outside the door listening into the conversation Brock was having with one of the other employees.
"So what happened with her? You said you asked her out because she had been flirting with you. Are you still seeing her?"
Bucky had been with you every day you came into the gym, except for the one where Brock had asked you out, and you had never flirted with him. You hadn't even looked in his direction. What kind of shit was he spreading?
"Nah man. I felt bad for the girl. It was really just a pity date. She was all over me when I dropped her off, but she's just not my type. You know I'm not a chubby chaser."
Bucky's blood was boiling inside his veins. You were working your ass off trying to appease assholes like Brock. He didn't see all the progress you had made, all he saw was the bit of extra weight you still carried. Bucky saw your determination, he saw the triumph in your eyes as you got closer and closer to your goals each day. Even if you never lost another damn pound, you were the most beautiful woman he knew and always would be. Bucky's fists clenched by his side, but he waited to see what else Brock said.
"Besides, she turned out to be a huge bitch anyways. First of all, she asked if we could go to that new, expensive steakhouse downtown. I was feeling generous, so I took her not knowing how fucking expensive they were. She blabbed on the whole night about herself, probably trying to make me think she was this great prize."
"Holy shit, man. That sounds awful."
"It gets worse. So, she's ordered the most expensive thing on the menu and when the check comes she gets offended when I ask her to cover her half. And finally, I'm dropping her off at her place and she just throws herself at me. I politely tell her no and all of a sudden she starts screaming and cursing at me. Chick is fucking crazy." Brock chuckled along with the other man in the room and Bucky finally lost it.
