The bell above your door rang out at exactly ten past six. It was the same thing every Friday. You'd unlock your door promptly at six and ten minutes later the bell chimed to indicate your favorite customer had arrived.

"Morning, Pepper. Already got your order packed and ready to go." You said with a bright smile.

"Thanks, Y/n. I'm actually going to need a baker's dozen today, though. We have a new guy starting this morning and I can't leave him out of our Friday breakfast ritual." Pepper leaned her hip against the counter and picked up the cup of coffee you had waiting for her.

"No problem. Same as the rest, or..." You trailed off and motioned to the case of pastries beside you.

"Hmm." Pepper took another sip. "You pick."

Your eyes wandered over the glass display case and settled on a blueberry scone with a lemon glaze. You grabbed a bag to put the scone in, but paused before placing it in the bag. You grabbed a pen and wrote a quick message on the bag, then placed the scone inside and pushed it across the counter. Pepper's eyes scanned across the words and she smiled.

"That's very cute. I'm sure it'll make Bucky a little less nervous for his first day."

"Everyone deserves encouragement every once in a while and maybe it'll bring me a new customer. What's this Bucky going to be doing at good ol' Stark Industries?" You asked as you began unloading the pan of cinnamon rolls that sat on the counter into the display case.

"Security. Steve and Sam recommended him. With Steve moving up to the head of security, it left a spot open. He's had a rough couple of years, but he seems like a good guy. I think all he needs is a chance."

"Well, tell him I picked this especially for him. I hope he enjoys it. And tell Tony not to give him too much shit." You chuckled.

"I'll try, but you know Tony." She rolled her eyes. "Oh! Before I go, I wanted to ask if you'd be able to cater a business meeting we're having Wednesday. It's in the morning, so I wanted to provide breakfast."

"Wow. Are you sure you want me?" You cocked a brow in surprise.

"Of course. You're the absolute best and everyone loves your food. Please? For your favorite older sister?" Pepper poked out her bottom lip in a pout.

"You're my only sister." You crossed your arms and looked at her. "I'll do it, but only because you gave me such lofty praise."

"Thank you!" She almost squealed. "You are amazing!"

"I know. Now go before I get a big head." You smiled and pushed her items closer to her.

"You're still meeting me at the office after you close so we can grab dinner, right?" She said, placing Bucky's scone on top of the box and picking them up.

"Six-thirty sharp. I'm going to close a bit early so I can go home and change. I'd hate to keep your billionaire husband waiting too long. Last time I was tempted to run him over with my car because he was complaining about me being late and how it was my fault he was so famished."

"That's Tony for you. See you tonight, Y/n. Love you!" She called over her shoulder as she left.

"Ditto!" You yelled before the door shut.

"I have the scones!" Pepper said as she placed the box on the table.

She grabbed the bag before Thor could reach for it and opened the top of the box for him.
