The air was chilly against your bare skin, but you were far from cold. Sergeant James "Bucky" Barnes was making sure that your body stayed warm as the last light of the day faded into night. You were straddling him, his cock buried deep inside you as you rode him.

Bucky had surprised you with a late afternoon walk through the French countryside that led to a picnic by a beautiful lake. The two of you talked and ate until the dusk crept into the sky, then gazed at the stars as they began to faintly appear. Bucky was propped against a tree with you between his legs, leaning against his chest, and his arms wrapped around you. As the sky streaked with splashes of dark blue and black, Bucky turned your head to kiss you.

The kiss lit a fire within your body and before you could stop yourself, you turned in his arms and reached for the buttons of his uniform. You deftly undid each button until his torso was exposed to you. The pads of your fingers ran from his chest, down the contours of his abs, and to the button of his pants. His tongue swept your mouth and you moaned at the taste of him. His hand reached for the zipper on the back of your dress, slowly sliding it down until it was bunched around your waist.

Bucky released your lips and looked at you as your hand slipped beneath the band of his underwear. He lightly grasped your wrist to stop you.

"Are you sure, doll?"

"I'm sure, Bucky. This war is ripping you away from me and I don't know when you'll be back. I want to make tonight special. Something neither of us will forget."

"I'm coming back to you, Y/n. I promise. I'll introduce you to my family and Steve. I'll take you out on proper dates, we'll get married, have a couple kids, get a dog or cat, and we'll grow old together, doll."

"I'm scared, Bucky." You admitted. "So many men have already died and I'm scared that I'll lose you."

"I'm going to make it through. I've got you to come home to now. Can't leave my baby doll by herself, can I?" He smiled at you, trying to provide comfort when in reality, he was just as scared as you were.

You met Bucky the night before he shipped out from New York. He was destined for England where he would then be thrust into the middle of the second World War. You were on stage performing when you saw him in the crowd. His beautiful blue eyes never left you as you sang. Feeling bold, you approached him when the band took a break. Bucky was charming and you could tell he was a sweet talker.

His smooth and debonair personality sucked you in. You spent every moment you weren't on stage that night at a table with Bucky drinking champagne and laughing as if you had known him for years. When it was time for the final song of the night, you dedicated your last song, "Candyman", to the handsome soldier with a brilliant smile. He walked you home that night, asking if he could write to you and stealing a kiss, before he walked away from you to fight a war he may not return from.

As luck would have it, you ran into Bucky again in England when you were selected as part of a USO tour overseas to provide entertainment to the troops. Fate seemed to be pushing you and Bucky together as you ended up crossing paths with the handsome soldier four separate times as the tour progressed through Europe. Each time you spent every moment you could with him. Although it was hard for Bucky to get letters to you while you were traveling around Europe, he still wrote and mailed the letters back to Brooklyn so you would have something waiting for you when you got back.

Your feelings for Bucky grew quickly and it seemed that his did as well. You had only known Bucky a short time, but he was already planning a future with you. It was nice to think about. A normal life after the violence of a global war, with a man who looked at you as if you were his entire world. Bucky would be off to Italy tomorrow and you didn't know if or when you would see him again, so you were determined to make the most of tonight.
