You woke up to a bright golden light shining in the corner of your bedroom. The sun hadn't risen yet and Dustin was still asleep next to you. You had both fallen asleep binging The Lord of the Rings. Strange stepped out of the portal and waited for you to sit up.
"Haven't you heard of knocking?" You asked, your voice heavy with sleep.
"Why would I do that when I can make these?" He pointed over his shoulder to the closing portal.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe this thing called common decency or maybe respecting someone's privacy. What if I was naked?"
"It's three-thirty in the morning, why would you be naked?"
"That's not the point!" You whisper yelled, trying not to disturb your brother. "What do you want, Strange?"
"Thanos is coming. We have two weeks." He said as if he was speaking about the weather.
"Excuse me!" You yelled, waking Dustin in the process.
"What's wrong!" He sat up quickly and looked around the room with wide eyes.
"Hello, Dustin. I was just telling your sister that Thanos will be here in two weeks."
"What?" Dustin squeaked. "We only have two weeks to learn how to fight off aliens?"
"Precisely. Now rest up. The intense training starts tomorrow."
Strange conjured another portal and stepped through as you yelled after him.
"You just shot that to hell by telling us an intergalactic psycho is coming for us soon!"
"Sweet dreams." Strange said and you flipped him off as the portal closed.
"Y/n, do you think we're gonna be ready in two weeks?" Dustin asked, turning to face you .
"We have to be. We don't have a choice." You murmured as you got out of bed. "Get some rest, D."
"What about you?"
"I'll be fine. I just need to get some air. Be back soon." You walked to the door and shut it quietly behind you.
Padding through the compound in socked feet, you wandered aimlessly trying to keep yourself from spiraling into a panic attack. The date was finally set. Thanos was coming and you had to be ready. It felt like you were facing a mountain that stretched straight into the sky and everyone expected you to climb it with ease, but how the hell could they expect you to do that. You knew nothing of this world or its threats.
It was easy to determine how to use your powers in your own world when you were facing the Demogorgon, the Mind Flayer, and Vecna. They were familiar to you. They were your threat. Thanos, however, was like nothing you were used to and it scared the living shit out of you. You walked around the compound for hours until the sun began to rise. It was like a fucking maze, so you had no idea where you were. Taking a left down the nearest hallway, you headed towards the bank of elevators on the other end of the corridor. You had made it half-way down the hallway when a door opened behind you and you heard someone call your name.
"Y/n?"
You turned to see a shirtless Bucky clad only in sweats with messy hair and a look of exhaustion on his face. Your lips parted as your eyes shamelessly roamed over his muscled arms and chest, down to his six-pack. A faint chuckle drifted down the hallway making your attention snap back to Bucky's face.
"Like what you see, princess?" He propped himself against the doorframe of his room and he let his eyes wander over you the way you had done to him.
You wished you had thrown on pants and a t-shirt or something else besides the short pajama bottoms and camisole you were actually wearing. You stood in silence as he looked you over, arms folding under your breasts. Bucky's eyes moved to your chest appreciating the way your breasts pressed together from the movement. You cleared your throat and tried to break the tension.
