"Tony! Bruce! We need some help over here!" Bucky cried, falling to his knees beside you and cradling your head.
Tony landed beside you with Bruce not far behind.
"It's the radiation, Tony. Her body can't handle it." Bruce said.
"My sister isn't dying!" Dustin screamed. "You can fix her!"
"Kid, we..." Tony said regretfully.
"Tony, you have to try. Please." Bucky choked out and he reached forward to smooth your hair out of your face.
"We'll do our best, but I don't even know if the infirmary is operational." Tony lifted you up and flew towards the compound.
"FRIDAY, is the infirmary up and running? At the very least, can I use the cradle?"
"I have diverted all backup power to the cradle and it is operational."
"Perfect." Tony said as he landed in the infirmary and rushed you towards the cradle.
He laid you down gently and began pressing buttons until the machine switched on and began working on you. He didn't know how long it would take before he knew if it was actually able to heal you, but he was hoping it wasn't too long. You laid motionless as the machine worked to save you. Your right side was burnt from where you had snapped, but that wasn't what worried him. It was the internal damage that he couldn't see. He didn't know what wielding the stones had done to your vital organs.
Bucky, Dustin, and the rest of your group came running into the room. Several of the Avengers followed up the rear. Wanda turned away, pressing her face into Pietro's chest, when she saw the extent of the damage on your body. Steve grabbed Dustin and pulled him into his arms as Dustin began crying.
"Do you know how long it'll take?" Eddie asked, his brow furrowed in worry not only for you but Dustin as well.
"No. I'm not even sure if this will work." Tony said softly.
"It has to work!" Mike said, looking over at Dustin. He shared a look with Lucas and Will unsure on how to help their friend.
"I'm trying, kid. But the radiation damage is bad. Bruce would've been barely able to handle the stones, so I don't know how Y/n isn't already dead."
"Cause she's stronger than you think, tin man. She saved your ass, now you save hers." Erica demanded.
"Strange, a little help here." Tony muttered.
"Sorry, Tony. They won't leave without her." Strange said.
"Can't you just, I don't know, push them through a portal or something?"
"I guess I—" Strange began as he conjured a portal.
"Don't even think about it, Houdini." Billy said, pointing at Strange.
"We're staying until we know she's okay." Max said, stepping up beside her brother.
Everyone else nodded their agreement and Strange dropped his hands.
"Told you."
"Alright, fine! Steve, Sam, Nat, and Wanda. Start sorting out places for the kids. I'll stay with Y/n until she's stable enough to move and then we'll get her somewhere safe."
"I'm staying, too." Bucky said.
He hadn't taken his eyes off you since he entered the room. It had only taken him two weeks to realize he didn't want you to go back to your world. The attachment he had to you was unnerving, but he didn't want to fight it. He may not have a lot in life, but as long as he had you, he was okay with that.
