Your heart was racing as you rushed into the police station with the small box and envelope clutched in your hand. You found the box sitting neatly on the hood of your car when you left work. Your blood turned to ice when you spotted the small gift wrapped box. An envelope was propped against the box with 'My Love' written in delicate cursive. You grabbed the box and envelope off your car and tossed it in your passenger seat with your purse then peeled out of the parking garage as fast as you could.

"I need to talk to Detective Barnes. Now!" You said quickly.

"Ma'am, is everything okay?" The young officer sitting at the desk asked you.

A strand of his dark brown hair fell onto his forehead and his brown eyes widened at your frazzled appearance. You sat the box and unopened envelope on the desk and slid it across to him. His brows furrowed as he looked at the present and then back at you.

"I found that on the hood of my car when I left work tonight. It's not the first time things have been left for me. Last time it was flowers. Before that it was chocolates. I've even found lingerie laid out on my porch. I'm being stalked. I know Detective Barnes. I want to talk to him–" You looked at the young man's name tag. "Office Parker."

"Uh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let me go grab him." Officer Parker stammered.

He left you at the desk and rushed around a corner. You turned your back to the desk and looked out the glass doors of the station into the dark of the night, feeling as if you were being watched. It had been almost three weeks since you started receiving the gifts. There was a new gift arriving everyday. You weren't sure what was in the envelope or the box, but your curiosity was getting the better of you. A chill ran through you and your arms wrapped around your body as you turned back to the desk. Your hand reached towards the box, but a second later Office Parker came around the corner followed quickly by Detective Barnes.

"Ms. Y/l/n, what can I do for you this time?" Detective Barnes asked with a sigh.

"No need to be so formal, Bucky. I know I'm just your little sister's annoying friend, but I got something else."

"Y/n..." Bucky sighed again.

His short, dark hair was purposefully styled in a messy bed head look and his icy blue eyes held a hint of annoyance. It irritated you that he saw you as paranoid when there was a serial killer running around town, sending romantic gifts to women and stalking them, before strangling them in their own homes. You squinted your eyes at his indifference to your worry and huffed out a breath.

"My STALKER," you emphasized, "Left me another gift."

"Are you sure this isn't some secret admirer who's just too afraid to approach you?" He wiped a hand down his face in exasperation, making your blood boil even more.

"I don't care who the fuck it is! It's creepy, Bucky. This person is coming to my workplace, to my home. I don't even feel safe going to sleep at night unless I triple check my locks, place something heavy in front of my bedroom door, and have a knife next to me! I'm constantly looking over my shoulder and I can't do it anymore!" You yelled, pointing at the present on the desk.

Bucky peered over at the desk where you were pointing and his face fell. He walked over to the desk to take a look at the envelope a little closer.

"Parker, get me some gloves." He commanded.

The young man produced a pair of gloves and Bucky slipped them on before picking up the envelope and inspecting it. His eyes scanned the cursive scrawled on the paper and cursed under his breath. His finger slipped under the lip and ripped the envelope open. When he pulled it out, your breath stalled and all you could hear was the sound of your blood pumping in your ears.
