"Deon!" Ruma could heard Ratok's voice, as she felt like she was lighter than air.
Why are they yelling? What are they doing now?
She thought, unable to come into the living world.
"She's alive?" She could hear here Brude ask.
Of course I am. Deon, she wanted to speak with him. Him and Ratok both.
But she couldn't.
She constantly faded in and out. In and our. Over however long she was suspended in that weightless environment.
Until.
Ruma's eyes opened to a murk of blue sludge.
Her heartbeats spiked as she swiveled around. She could hear the beeping of noises surrounding her.
Through the blur she saw a figure. That quickly make other beeping sounds. A loud whoosh happened and the blue she was in started to rush out, as she quickly sank to the floor.
The glass she was behind opened up and she was grabbed.
"It is good to see you alive my pet." Vassenhilo had her tightly held against him. Her head pounded, she felt weak, and fraile as the effects of gravity catch up with her.
"No no, don't try to speak just yet. You have some more recovery to go through. We've been through this before."
Ruma nodded. As he brought her over to a a bed and laid her in it. As he worked to get her set up to the machines there.
That bed was what she knew for the next several weeks.
She begged for Vassenhilo to let her see Ratok and Deon. But he refused telling her she needed her rest. Each day her heart hurt worse. Fearing the worse happened to them and Vassenhilo was simply refusing to tell her.
"Come on we need to get you walking." He said getting her up on her feet. She spent hours walking and doing the exercises that the medical robots helped her with.she still moved like a sloth, but at least she could move.
Until tonight.
Her heart couldn't take it.
She had the medical robot put a protable Iv on her, and a small vital checker so she wouldn't be without medical assistance if she needed it.
Ruma waited for the silence of no guards and ventured out.
Her steps were slow and painful as she could felt everything go up her spine. But she kept moving closer and closer towards her tower.
When she got to the elevator she collapsed after pressing the button to the top floor. She painted and gasped, not expecting this to feel like running a marathon..
She still laid on the ground after the bell dinged to the top floor.
Ruma rolled onto her knees and crawled out, using the wall to pull herself up. Then co tinued to waddle down the hall. Until she reached her room.
Even from the hall she could hear the shower running. Her heart felt lighter. Then she walked in. Her eye scanned the room quickly nothing had moved from where she had it.
Expect.
There was chair near the large window now. What was in it was one of two that she had been pining to see for weeks.
Her brude.
She smiled and walked closer, her fingers brushed against his arm as she watched him sleep.
Ruma sat and stared happily allowing him to rest, ,until she saw the water works flow and heard him whimper.
She carefully knelt down in front of him. Placing a hand on his leg to help her hold herself up as she wipped away his tears.
His eyes fluttered open for her to see those striking brown orbs. Ruma smiled, as she watched him slowly wake. His face twisted with confusion as he looked her over.
Her mind races as she waited for him to say something. Did he recognize her? How long has it been?
"Ruma?" She heard the break in his voice. She nodded and moved closer, slowly moving up to hug him.
Her arms wrapping around him. Deon took a second to respond, when he did he shot up. Picking her up with him wrapping his arms tightly around her.
She wrapped her legs around him to hold on and she buried her face into his shoulder. Ruma felt his body shutter as he began to sob.
He stopped to catch his breath, "Ratok," he hollered then when back to hidding his face into her. He tightened around her, doing everything he could to feel like she wasn't going to go again.
Ruma cried silently. She missed her boys. Those long hours alone both in and out of the tank made her sick of loneliness.
Ratok walked out. "What are you- Ruma?" Ruma's head popped up, her arm reached out towards Ratok once she saw him.
He rushed up grabbing her face and kissed her. Then pulled back to wrap his hands around her. Deon released her enough to swap over to Ratok's arms. Deon made sure to stay just as close.
"I thought you were gone for ever." Deon finally said. As they back themselves up towards the bed. As it was the safest place for them to be.
Ruma laid her head on Ratok's chest and reach her hand out to grab Deon's hand. They sat there in silent. Just holding on.
After the needed silence was over. Deon leaned over and held Ruma's face in his hands, cupping it as he kissed her, several times.
He pulled back, leaving the girl smiling widely.
"I've missed you two," she finally signed.
"We missed you" Ratok said.
Ruma yawned. Her eyes drooping.
"Let's get some rest," Deon said. "We can catch up after you've slept some"
Ruma nodded, but reached out with a whine..
"We will both be right here." Ratok said pulling her further onto the bed, curling up with her. Deon quickly and without hesitation curled in next to her. Placing his hand on her.
While the two males didn't sleep for sometime as their minds reeled from having Ruma back. Ruma quickly went back to dreamland happily surrounded by her Maeger and Brude.
