Ruma trudged into the quarters early in the morning. They had been out all night. So many plans, names, things to remember, to say, to do.

She shut the door behind her wondering if she'd have the ability to go through with this all. Would she be enough to see it all through or would she fail?

"Ruma!" She heard the frantic voice of her brude come flying towards her. "Where were you?"

Ruma took a second before responding. Just so she could stay wrapped up for a but longer. "Meetings."

"They took all night?" He questioned.

She nodded. "They wanted to make things run quicker, I had to put my foot down. Cause that would have put us in danger."

Ratok walked up in just his sweats. Ruma glanced over, seeing faint bruising on him. Some were from his arena fights, but there was some on his neck and down around his waist line that weren't from the fights.

For a hair of a second she thought about that she animal kin. Her hair stood on end until she got a whiff of Deon off of him, her head turned and sniffed Deon and git a heavy scent of Ratok of him.

Her jealousy dropped. She cursed her owe mind for doubting.

"You look exhausted."

"I am. I didn't sleep a wink"

"So what would you like to do?" Ratok asked.

"I'm to hyped up for sleep. So, can we just snuggle on the couch and get caught up on everything."

The boys nodded. "Let's go."

They set up on the couch where the three were close but not on top of each other while Ruma caught them up on the plans.

"It's pretty much staying the same." Deon said.

Ruma nodded. "It took alot to keep it there."

"Something else on your mind Ru?" Deon asked.

"I found out something."

"About?"

"What Vassenhilo did to you two."

Both, Deon and Ratok stiffened up. They looked across to each other and back to her.

"Go on" Ratok spoke for them.

"This will sound a bit out there. He made you both Rindosas." She paused and waited for them to respond.

They didn't.

Ruma crossed her arms. Feeling oddly guilty about telling them the truth.

"Who else. Or was it just us?" Ratok asked.

"Kaylo too. As far as I'm aware all others who were tested on died. You three survived."

"How long have you known?" Ratok looked at her.

"For you last night. For Deon a bit longer. Kaylo I knew he experimented on him but wasn't sure."

Deon pulled away. "You knew what he did?"

"Only a couple of days for certain. Before I had an inkling only because of things that had happened. I actually originally thought you were a bred one or some half breed and never knew. But Vassenhilo told me when me and him got into that fight at the games."

"Why did you wait to tell me?"

"I wanted it to be a day where I knew me and Ratok weren't going to be pulled away. But then I found out about him last night."

Deon seemed conflicted. But relented his anger. "I understand why you didn't tell me. I'm still bothered by it. But not mad." He sat back. "How does one completely change ones species without killing them?"

Ruma shook her head.

"Explains why my fur hasn't come back in as fully as it once was." Ratok said staring hard at the floor.

"And Why I bounced back so quickly after the maze." Deon added.

"And Why my strength stayed even though I was still in recovery." Ratok continued.

Deon rubbed his chest, and he started breathing hard.

Ruma moved to him. "Deon?"

"I'm okay, just this is giving me some severe dread." his voice shook.

Ruma grimace, she looked to Ratok who also had a look to him that worried her. She sat between them debating. She stood and went to the bedroom. She came back out, and put a pillow behind Deon, and did a semi swaddle wrap with the blanket around his shoulders, which calmed his shivering. She then had a long sleeve for Ratok she handed him that he threw on and then she covered the blanket over his legs.

She then went to the kitchen and started to make food and a warm drink.

She placed the drinks in their hands, as she turned. Ratok grabbed her arm. Her head whipped around to him, "Thank you," he kissed her knuckles. "Don't feel guilty. We needed to know, and I'm alright, focus on your brude."

Ruma nodded and went back. She ended up making enough food for the two that were still sleeping as well. As she was putting plates down, they came stumbling out rubbing their eyes.

"There are my sleepy boys." she greeted them, pulling them both into a big hug. Getting them to sit down and gave them their plates.

Ruma sat back down this time closer to Deon, with her legs stretched out so that she could place her feet on Ratok.

Deon was slow to eat and drink, he then leaned down to Ruma. "I'll be okay." he kissed her head.
