Ratok's "bear" side is based of a Kodiak Bear

Fun facts about Kodiaks

Kodiak bears are a unique subspecies of the brown bears

They live exclusively on the islands in the Kodiaks and have been isolated from other bears for more than 10,000 years.

Kodiaks can run up to 30 miles per hour or 48 Kilometers and hour

Kodiak bear is the largest subspecies of brown bear in the world standing at 10 ft tall. [This is why our boi Ratok be a big boy, but Ratok is not THAT tall. He does hover closer to the 7 ft range though]
