Ruma sat crossed legged on the bed. "I don't need a medical bot, I am okay now." she signed, watching Deon walk away after he placed her down. He walked over to the wall and typed into the pad that was in it.
"I am just making sure." he told her, looking back over his shoulder.
She let out a heavy breath, "Your the one who has been bed ridden for three days."
"Yes, and I am tired, but I didn't drop while running and SPIT OUT BLOOD."
Ruma looked away as she knew he had a point.
Both Ratok and Tyklyn must have been awake and listening in, as they both jerked up from their spots in the room..
Tyklyn didn't say anything just watched from his makeshift hammock, while Ratok rolled over to sit up as he looked at Ruma.
"What do you mean spit up blood." Ratok grumbled as he was still waking up.
"I am okay." Ruma said, rubbing Ratok's arms to try and keep him from worrying.
Deon moved out of the way of the medical bot that rolled up to them. "I mean she spit up a mouth full of bright red blood."
The medical bot beep and boop, and administered something else to Ruma. Causing her to instantly become sleepy. "Rest, Ruma." Ratok said get ready to head out for the evening. "Don't let her leave for the night, she needs to rest obviously she has been doing to much."
After they watched Ruma fade off to sleep "Maybe we should set the boys up their own room on this floor, leaving the one downstairs set up for show if Vassenhilo comes knocking." Deon said. "They get their own space, and Ruma isn't stressing so bad."
Ratok nodded, "Its been enough days since the insidite that she shouldn't still be as hot wired as she has been." he left to changed than came back. "Put them in the room next to yours."
Deon nodded, and let Ratok leave out. "Let's get y'all moved while she is sleeping."
Ratok stepped out of the elevator, being greeted by a group of the other guards. He stopped looking between the faces of his colleagues. Most were blank, but a couple of them had some sinister grin hidden beneath their grimances.
He turned his head to who looked to be heading this, what he was going to deem a coup. "Rolif, what is all this?"
The snake hissed than smirked. "The boss had sent us all out to get you. Seems he has a new special assignment for you." the snake could hardly withstand his chuckle.
A paper was held up, it was Ratok's contract with Vassenhilo, it looked as if it had been voided. Ratok tilted his head, "I didn't agree to a void of contract."
"Looks like you didn't have to, bosses new friend was able to circumvent things." The group moved around Ratok, several grabbing his arms. They keep two men on each side of him knowing what was possible if he wasn't well contained. "Boss wants you in one of his labs. Did you know when one of our contracts is voided in such a way, that our lives come up for purchase? Like one of those helpless souls in the boss's quadrants?"
Rolif joyously held up another paper. It was a sign purchase document with his name on it. "Looks like if we don't get ahead in the dark trades, they just trade us instead. Yournow property of Vassenhilo. Congratulations."
Ratok listened silently, there was nothing too say all his words would have been nothing but wasted. He felt the men start to move him, he glanced to the side seeing a sneaking badger come around behind the party of men.
He wasn't going to fight, but now he was. He planted his feet, causing the group to stop, they looked at him, some in fear, but Rolif seemed cocky,
"Come on big guy, you can't win against us." Rolif leaned in, "Now lets take you to the boss and see what horrible things he has planned for your future."
Ratok waited until Rolif was finished talking, quickly throwing his head forward, bashing in the front of the snakes face. Blood quickly sprayed out. Ratok threw himself back, then forward to nock the guards who held him to lose footing. He leaned in than threw the ones on his right over himself.
The ones on the left quickly released as to not be thrown to the ground with the others. Ratok went down with them, only to use his weight to help knock them out of the fight for a few seconds longer.
Ratok rolled standing up, took his elbow to make repeated blows to the first one closest too him. Just like that he had four out of the seven down. Though he knew the other three wouldn't be as easy to subdue.
The last three that werent out or nursing facial wounds, were able to pull their weapons. None of them to Ratok's luck had a gun but one had a stun stick, that Ratok could see glow occasionally, and the other two as vibro blades.
He could still mentally feel and track where Jospeh was behing him, he hadn't moved. Or gone for the elevator, which kept him on high alert there.
The guard to the left with the Vibro blade, ran forward, he was small and quick, but didn;t hit hard. His blade made a few quick cuts on the upper part of Ratok's forearm, but being as close as he was allowed the bear kin to come in a swift left hook. The stun shoved the trainee back, dropping the blade, he wasn't out of the fight but Ratok had his weapon now.
Ratok took a deep breath in, waiting for the next move. To arrive.
"Step back." he heard the voice he hated the most come in from behind. The remaining three took several steps back.
Ratok turned.
"Well Ratok, looks like we get to finish this tonight."
"Very well." he said, letting out the longest loudest snarl that the compound has very heard from him.
