"I'll see you after the shows." Ruma cupped Deon's face in her hands.

"It's not me your going to need to worry about, unless there is something I need to know about those mazes." Deon said, kissing her on the forehead. "He has been silent all morning- go focus on him, I know you two won't leave for your things for another hour or so."

Ruma didn't say anything. She nuzzled into his neck taking some deep breaths, then stepped back as the door opened. The guards stepped in to grab Deon and Tyklyn. Ruma watch them head out. She then turned and went to Ratok.

"Will you let me hear your voice today?"

Ratok sighed and shifted, "I suppose, as there is a possibility it is the last."

Ruma put her head to his lip to silence him. "You will be fine. You don't get to think that way."

Ratok played with Ruma's hair, "Ruma. Please don't try and act like this isn't what it could be. I know what these events entails. I am not a trained arena fighter." he moved her around in his lap, burying his face in the mane of her hair. His fingers laced in it, playing and scrubbing the back of her head.

"Have faith in yourself Ratok." Ratok sat back, keeping his hands on her hips. Ruma looked at Ratok, her own emotions dropping, her head turned to the clock, gaging how long she had. "If your going to believe yourself a dying man, than come lay with me one last time.: She gently nudged him.

"As if I could say no to that request." he lifted her out of the chair and laid her over the nearest surface.

A while later Ruma was holding onto Ratoks hand giving him a final hug before they were pulled apart to go their separate ways to the different events. Ruma turned and willingly walked with the guards following them through the path she and the others took yesterday with Vassenhilo. She took a deep breath as she entered into an alcove that had her name on it. There was already a crowd out in the chairs waiting for the games to start. It had been awhile since Ruma participated in one of these games and she was going in cold and rusty.

Her eyes flicked up to the board that was in her little waiting area and she started to read down the list of events for the day. Today there was only a couple of events for the Elite games. With 116 in the ring including her self it looked as if today was mostly going to be that of first glances.

The hours ticked by she tried to not think about what was happening with her son's or her male's. She took a deep breath leaning back and staring at the wall letting her mind slip off into the void just to not be in her body or the presents for a while.

"Ruma." her attention was grabbed and she looked up. There was a curator of the games and they were calling her out. She nodded and headed out on stage. Today luckily enough for her she was wearing something more low key than what she had yesterday.

All she could think was that she need to win for her males, she got to the podium, and looked across at the person next to her they were a new genetically created race according to their information card that was set up on the screen that was behind them right next to Ruma's that was stationed behind them.

The curator brought a speaking tablet infront of her, so she could quickly inter her answers and it would speak for her. She took a deep breath, then focused in. Alot has changed that she hadn't been updated on in her time of isolation with Vassenhilo, she felt the gitters start as she looked towards the game host. He had been speaking the whole time introducing herself and the other competitor.

"Now that we are back, again we are still in the linguist portion of the rounds." he said with a smile, starting with the fan favourite that has been gone for two centuries, Ruma. What is the name of Nungorian Dialect spoken in the south west region of Jurino on the Planet Karma-96."

Ruma took a big breath, then looked down at her pad. Bringing a shaking hand up, she began to quickly type in her answer.

She and the other contestant had been on the stage now for 45 minutes. Going back and forth between questions. Ruma's eye glanced up at the scoreboard. They were at 1800 and she was at 1300, what she was worried about was happening.

"Ladies and gentlemen let us take a quick break and we will return shortly. When we will have our final round of double or nothing." the crowd cheered and Ruma was guided off stage.

She was back at her little waiting alcove. She dropped to her seat, she had to get this last question right and hope that the other opponent didn't answer correctly. Ruma dropped against the side of the wall. If she lost today she would be out of the games, and she fear what Vassenhilo would do. Ruma thought to the deal he was threatening to make..

Maybe she should have just given in and allowed her males to breed her back on the ship. The whole situation could have been fixed. She curled up around herself more. No, the situation wouldn't have been fixed, he would have auctioned off her unborn the moment he learned how many she was expecting and the cycle of pain would have just started over again.

The longer she thought about her fate, the large a hard knot could be felt filling up in her throat.

"Ahh, Ruma there we are, having a bit of a hard time out there aren't we?" Bvelpio said as he entered the room. "I expected you to be much better than this as you usually had a perfect score, and only to have 1300 out of 2500, I am certainly surprised by you."

Ruma rolled over she didn't want to hear this of all things.

"What if I told you I got the final answer?"

Her head whipped around.

He pulled a small paper from his pocket, then handed it over too her. "If you wish to win, I suggest taking this."

Ruma looked at the paper, this was far beneath her morales she had never stooped that low before. So she hesitated.

"Fine, don't take it, but then I shouldn't have taken my time to try and keep Vassenhilo from selling your youngest boy off to someone who offered double what he was appraised for."

Ruma snatched the paper.

"That's what I thought. Do me a favour, don't let your ethics get in the way of getting what you want. That doesn't fly here. After the games, I think you and I should have some alone time, over drinks and some finger foods, I believe we will have a common goal with each other we need to discuss in great lengths."

Ruma narrowed her eyes as she watched Bvelpio walk out of the room. She unfolded the paper read it, until the answer was burned into her skull, at the bottom it said to eat it, so she did crumbling up the paper and chewing it down to swallow.

Just in time before a curator came back to grab her to take her back on stage.
