"I'm sorry." Ruma was awake when Ratok shuffled up that night get ready for his overnight. He was sat at the edge of the bed with his upper body hunched over. HIs was rubbing his face when he saw her hands move out of the corner of his eyes.
He sat up and looked at her, she now looked more like the Ruma he was familar with and not the ball of black fire he was staring at earlier.
"You snapped at me." he grumbled, looking at her through the hairs that fell in front of his eyes. She looked down, and sat next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. He could see her face twisting up as she thought about what to say next. "Ruma-"
Her eyes glanced up at him.
"I lost you once, now it feels like I am losing you again, this time slower."
Ruma took a deep breath in. "Ratok, I am sorry. I don't want you to feel like that." she said laying her head against him.
"You know I am a fairly simple man, I don't need much, I just need to be involved Ruma." He sat up, to turm his body towards her more.
"I can do that. What can I do for the moment?" her fingers gripped into his arm a bit in a bit of fear of him leaving her.
He tucked his hand under her chin, he lifted her face to his. Giving her a kiss. Then pulled her closer to him. "Let me hold you for a while." Ratok went quiet as he silently held her. Tucking his face into her neck. Ruma felt a wetness against her neck, she felt her shoulders drop, and she squeezed tighter.
When it was time for him to leave, she released him and he went and got dress. Ruma sat there and watched him, Somehow life was getting alot more complicated than she wanted it to be.
"I'll see you in the morning." the door gently swung close behind him. He followed down the hall to the elevator and out. He drug his feet through the dirt that was the main of the compounds outdoor landscape.
He passed on of the laboratory's whose lights was still on inside. He looked at it briefly before continuing on. Inside the laboratory, Vassenhilo, Bvlepio and Carma all stood around while Vassenhilo worked well into the night.
"How many requests have you got for those boys of Ruma's?" Bvlepio asked, watching Vassenhlio research the newest mutation that had popped up in one of his Quardrants.
Vassenhilo was more focused on his screen that he didnt answer, most of these Mutations that had been seeing in the past few months, were results of the last work that Ruma had put in before she was put under.
"Vassenhilo!"
Vassenhilo slowly turned his head towards Bvelpio, "Yes?"
The Loaq sighed heavily, "How many requests did we get in for the boys?"
Vassenhilo's top set of eyes blinked, "Oh, those yes. We have quiet the few requests." he switched off the work he was and went over to the messages that he had gotten in. "Fourty-three in total, roughly twenty-one for both of them, or at least if we split it evenly than that's how it would work out."
"Is that how you are going to do it then? Not even sort through the requests and decide which would be good dames for your males?"
Vassenhilo slammed his hand into the table. "Why must you question all the actions I do. I have been at this for years with no issues."
"You are upset, but yet you lack the bartering skills your Uncle had that made him the underground king he was when it came to pets and genetics." Bvlepio shouted.
Vassenhilo declined to respond to that statement. "I will go through it, and look at it."
"WIll you, or will you pass it off to your pet to do?"
Vassenhilo blinked red, "What does that mean?"
"Everyone generally knows that you have your pet do most of the work. Even I can tell which of your work was done by her and which is done by you, it is why your data sheets have looked like space whale feces this past year."
Vassenhilo stood up and walked out of the labrartory.
Bvlepio stood a moment and turned.
"You anger him to often. I am surpised still deals with you Master." Carma said crossing her legs as she sat.
The green scaled alien turned his head towards her, "I am simply trying to keep him motivated."
Carma nodded.
"How was your venture with those boys I sent you to go see?"
Carma moved her hair back to show a large bruse forming down the side of her face. "Very physcial, and not in the fun way."
"Looks like your going to have to get creative, aren't you?"
She smirked, "I think that I can handle them now that I have their personalities, but as I saw from watching Vassenhilo's cameras that, that Ruma girl went in to check on them only moment after I left. I need a way to keep her distracted or hidden."
"What would you like for me to do then?"
Carma smiled, "You? Nothing, I have made an ally that I think can keep her and that big bear quite busy while I do my thing."
Bvlepio nodded. "As you do. Just get it done pet."
"Of course Master, when do I ever disappoint?"
