Ruma sat cross-legged in the centre of the room, her sons were given. Kaylo was laid across her lap, drifting in and out of sleep. She gently stroked his hair with a soft smile. Watching her boy sleep comfortably. Tyklyn was curled at her back. Giving her a spot to lean against, while he stayed as close as he could to her.
Deon sat on the bed closest to the back wall, with his legs tuck up under him, he leaned back watching the three. Ratok, did the same on the other bed closest to the door. They five of them just sat in that comfortable silence for quite a well.
Until Deon had a question. "Tyklyn what kind of male are you."
Tyklyn looked up with a scrunched up brow, "Why are you asking?"
Deon shrugged, "I'm curious, I don't know how you're species works."
"It should stay that way."
"Tyklyn what's wrong with Deon knowing your also a brude." Ruma leaned back looking at her son.
"Is Brudes more common?" Deon asked, Ruma shook her head no. "well your two for two."
"I just produced more brudes, my friend Kalyfa could only produce Maegers, she had a single brude over her life. I had three Maeger's over mine."
"Jykes, Lytre, and Haruf.:" Tyklyn said, looking out the small window remembering the past. "I miss my twin.:" he sighed, deeply.
Deon looked between the two, "You had a twin?"
Tyklyn nodded, "Haruf, he was the only Maeger that came from my father. The other two were my brother's from Orkan."
Deon leaned in, "So, brudes can have maeger, and from what you said about yourself and your friend, Ru, Maegers can have brudes?"
Ruma nodded, "It's the mother that depicts the kind of male. Though it is still the male that depicts the gender.'
"I guess I learn more on the day." Deon shrugged.
Ruma turned to Tyklyn. "How did you survive? I saw you and your siblings go.
down."
Tyklyn turned to face her more. "I did get burned in the fire." He pulled up is sleeve to show a very old, very faint burn scar.
"But, Haruf covered me for the most part. Before the fire was even out, I was being pulled to safety by the group that lead the attack on the compound."
Ruma's face switched.
Tyklyn flinched, "I'm so sorry."
Ruma placed her hand on his shoulder. To silence him.
"Don't, your alive and I can deal with any messed made. I'm just happy I get to see my baby again."
Tyklyn laid his head on hers for a moment.
"But that does raise alot of questions"
"No," Ratok grumbled.
"No?"
Ratok looked over at Ruma. "No questions, or looking into things. You can't even walk on your own."
"I second what Ratok said." Deon joined.
Ruma huffed.
"Looks like your males are ganging up on you mom. Gonna have to teach them whose boss." Tyklyn chuckled.
"Child be quiet"
Which caused Tyklyn to laugh even more.
"Ruma your IV pack is out again. We should go get that changed." Deon said. noticing the red change bar on the back of the small device.
Ruma whimpered in protest.
"They aren't going anywhere anytime soon." He stood up and walked over to pull her from the pile.
"Your brude is right mom. Go get that changed, me and Kaylo aren't leaving the room."
Ruma sighed and then gently removed her youngest from her lap. Leaping up onto Deon so he could carry her out of the room. Ratok followed and locked the door behind them on the way out.
Ruma was fast asleep again in Deon's arms before they got to the elevator.
Once they got in Ratok looked over at Deon, "You know that we could have stayed, med bots could have accessed that room too."
Deon nodded, "Yeah. But look at her, she's wiped. And as long as we were there she wasn't going to sleep."
Ratok brought Ruma up enough to kiss her forehead. They stepped off out of the elevator, a strong scent hit Ratok's nose causing him to go into a loud low growl.
"What?"
"Jospeh."
