A several days had past since Deon was assaulted. He stood in the bathroom staring at the mirror. He still showed signs of heavy brusing. Now that he had sometime over the past couple days to calm down, the severity of what happened came crashing on his psyche.
Something in him broke, and he didn't know how to repair it. This wasn't the same as when Vassenhilo tortured him, this sat differently. A soft rapping came at the door.
"Come in." he said flipping on the water and throwing it over his face.
Ruma walked in, Deon watched her from the mirror, she was one of the things that made what happened set different. His thoughts towards her were so scrambled. He still longed for her in an intimate way, but now it was corrupted in thoughts of being wanted; scared him, as he feared someone coming after him as Carma did. He was also scared of Ruma as he still tried to process the level of violence she was able to achieve while in a weakened state. He also feared that she wouldn't want him in the way she use too, cause Carma.
Deon didn't realise he was lost in his head, until Ruma gently laid her hand on his hand. He looked around for a second collecting his thoughts back. He then looked over at Ruma. He colour was back in her skin, she was slowly over that past few days going back to how she use to look, whatever Vassenhilo did to her that day worked in bringing her back.
"Do you need help?"
Deon blinked, not knowing how to answer that question, he shock his head "No, no, I'm fine." he took a deep breath, "Ratok, have you found him?"
Ruma looked down with a heavy sigh, he could see her holding back tears. She shook her head no, as her face drooped low.
"He'll pop up, I'm sure Vassenhilo just has him busy, he'll pop up."
Ruma's lip quivered as the water works formed along the bottom of her eyes. She glanced up, "Hug"
Deon stepped away before he could think, he just saw the arms move towards him, Ruma pulled her arms back. She blinked back her tears, Ruma slurped in a breath. She gave him a soft nod.
"Ru-" Deon could see the hurt in her face. Which made him scared she'd hate him, he panicked on the verge of two halfs, not wanting physical touch and not wanting to lose her.
Ruma shook her head, "It's okay, I understand. You don't need to." the small smile she gave while obvious to try to calm him, made him more nervous. He tried to say something, "I am going to go look for Ratok again. Just take some time," she turned and left again.
Deon crossed his arms, leaning against the wall, he still wanted her with him, but he didn't want her touching him. This is how it was between them since that night, Ruma had done everything she could for him to make him comfortable,
A while later he heard movement from the main room he walked out to see Tyklyn walking in with Kaylo bouncing behind him.
"What are you two doing here?"
"To check on you, mom is really messed up about you and the fact her Maeger is missing." Tyklyn said walking in to sit down.
Deon watched Kaylo who looked like he had nothing but cloud in his brain, go off and do whatever it was that Kaylo generally does. He sighed and then looked back at Tyklyn, "I am fine, and I don't need you too watching me."
"I don't believe that" Kaylo signed, as he sat on the table.
"Since when do you chime into conversations?" Deon frowned at the blonde.
Tyklyn chuckled, "He talks a lot actually, you just never pay attention."
"I am sorry than, I'll pay more attention."
"You really should"
Deon glared at Kaylo, "You were sweet, what is this attitude? Did you teach him this?" Deon pointed as he looked at Tyklyn.
Who shook his head, "No, we come by this naturally."
Deon rolled his eyes, "Well, you two can leave the room now, I am fine I want to be left alone."
"Okay, but we'll be right here."
"Or you can leave my room." Deon said crossing his arms, and leaning against the door.
Tyklyn and Kaylo shook their heads, "Nope, it's our mom's room, your room is across the hall, you said so yourself."
"Listenhereyouliitleshit." Deon took a breath, "Than get out of her room, while im here."
"No. I think I'm pretty comfortable right here." Tyklyn crossed his arms behind his head and leaned back. "If you want we can go talk to mom, see if she wants to kick us out of her room."
"Of course she isn't going to tell you to leave." Deon sighed and walked out, he knew he had no chance in getting them to get out of the room. As he sat down, he looked between them. "What do you two want?"
"Nothing really, want to play a round?" Tyklyn held up some cards. Deon nodded "Cool, Kaylo you shuffle."
Kaylo grabbed the cards, "Why me?"
"Cause your on the table, like a fucking idiot, so shuffle."
Kaylo mimicked and Mocked Tyklyn silently. As he shuffled the cards than passed them out to the three of them in order.
"Whats in your head?" Tyklyn asked Deon who was off again in his mind while watching Kaylo shuffle.
Deon looked over, "Nothing, nothing." he shook his head.
"Wow, I should play poker with you. You're a horrible liar."
"Fuck off and play-"
