Later that day, Adele found herself watching television with Axel and his mother. The tension was real between the two. Axel didn't want to be there, and Sibylla was trying to find the right words to speak to her son while Axel sat between the two. It was horrible, and Luca left her alone with them while he ran out on mafia business, or he thought she didn't know about the new home he had bought for them. It was supposed to be a surprise, but he had a big mouth father, and two cousins who wouldn't shut the fuck. Liam was the only sane one, and he was gone. Still, Adele blamed herself, and each time she walked by the room, she saw his lifeless body on the floor. She didn't understand why it had to be him instead of the man Mila brought into their home.
"I'm hungry."
"Of course, you are Kleine." Axel chuckled while Dele glared while imagining breaking his neck. She didn't play regarding food, and he wanted to make a crazy little joke about it. "I could call Luca and tell him you're refusing to feed me." Slowly, Axel turned to her, tilting his head while his mother laughed behind her. Adele didn't know what game he was playing, but she was serious about her food.
"Adele, sweetie, how about I cook for you? Tell me what you would like since my son is still being an asshole because we caught him last night sneaking in from his little rendezvous." She smiles, causing Axel to roll his eyes as he returns his attention towards the television. "I told you where I was, Mother. If you don't want to believe me, that's on you."
"Ja, you said you were visiting friends, or was it a friend? Maybe a woman by the name of Obioma." Quickly, Axel sat up in his seat, looking over at his mom and if looks could kill. He would have murdered Sibylla over a thousand times or more while she looked unfazed, shrugging her shoulders.
"Who's Obioma?"
"You just had to open your big ass mouth, didn't you? Don't worry about it Adele. It's nothing you need to be concerned about, Kleine— I thought you were hungry. Tell me what I need to fix." Axel spoke, trying to change the conversation, but Adele wanted to know who this woman was his mother spoke about and why he was so hellbent on hiding her identity. Sibylla knew, and Adele intended to find out as she turned to her father-in-law with a wide smile before speaking.
"I dreamt I had some ribs with mac and cheese, green beans, and a slice of cheesecake."
"Have you lost your mind, Adele?" Happily, Adele shook her head, pointing to the kitchen, causing the man to sigh and slowly lift himself from his seat. He was upset, but his mother found the situation amusing as she laughed at Axel's frown. "You're lucky I love you, Adele. If not, I would let your ass starve." Again, Adele smiled, reaching out for a hug, causing Axel to sigh with a small smile, knowing he couldn't resist showing her he loved her.
"You and my son get on my nerves, but I love you both."
"Oh, shut up and go fix your daughter-in-law some food. No one cares about your feelings, Axel." Sibylla didn't know how to hold her tongue, which Adele thought was funny, but Axel didn't seem to like it. It was unclear if his siblings were the same since they didn't know she had returned with Luca and the rest.
"AXEL WERE ARE YOU WITH YOUR MUTHAFUCKING SEXY ASS?!" Nova yelled as she walked through the front door. Adele couldn't hide her laugh while Sibylla cocked a brow toward her son. Axel, on the other hand, tried to hurry to the kitchen... but this was Nova they were talking about. Before the man could move, Nova was in the living room, leaping in his arms, leaving him no choice but to catch her.
"Axel Köhler, she looks like she could be your fucking daughter! I know you have to be fucking kidding me!"
"Oh, who's the sexy old lady? I do women too, you know—"
