After a long night of fighting and arguing over movies the next evening, Luca, Adele, and Victor sat in the living room, combing through documents, trying to find anything they could on Mila's mom. But they couldn't find anything. It was like they knew who they were, but nothing helped because they didn't know where to find them. Yes, they pulled a stupid move, sending a bunch of hitmen into their homes, but the worst part was the poor men knew nothing about who they were against.

"I don't know why, but my mind keeps returning to the couple we met in South Carolina. It was weird how it seemed like they sought us out... how Mackenzie knew who I was. I'm telling you, Victor, you need to keep an eye on her. A pretty face don't always means a pretty mind or good intentions. But what if they are working with the enemy or who we're looking for."

"I'll keep your words in mind, Dee. But what weird couple?" If Victor weren't off somewhere fucking he would know, but his focus was on Mackenzie and Luca had to say. He agreed with his wife; something about the girl felt off. That day, she was alone and made it a point to call out Adele. Luca took all the necessary measures, especially after she popped up in Germany. However, she turned out to be clean... a little too clean, but until she did something wrong, he couldn't call her out on any bullshit. As for the couple, he had forgotten their names. It wasn't unusual for people to come up to him, but normally, they wanted a picture or autograph, never to introduce themselves.

"You wouldn't know about the couple because your ass was somewhere fucking... Liebe, please tell me you remember their names?"

"Blythe, Bryar... I think it was Bryar and Ryker. Do those names ring a bell, Vic?" Victor shook his head and then started to type. He was in deep thought, and Luca knew he had to be hacking something. His mind went to ask him what he was looking for, but he decided against it. It was best to let Victor finish before asking questions. Yet, silence took over the room as they listened to Vic's fingers move over the keys of his MacBook until Vince started to cry, causing Heaven to crawl over to him, staring at him, before taking her pacifier and sticking it in the boy's mouth as she babbled. Without a thought, Adele grabbed Heav with a smile while Luca hesitated to get Vincent until he felt Victor tap him, holding up a bottle.

"It's not like he can bite."

"I know that bitch. Seeing him makes me feel weird, knowing we let his mother down. We promised to protect her and forgot she was here. I hated Scarlett and glad she is dead but seeing him cause me to feel guilty."

"Ja, how do you think I feel? Scar and I had our ups and downs. Sometimes, I wanted to wrap my hands around her neck and choke the life out of her, but then I looked at her belly and thought how I may have helped create him." He sighed as Luca picked up Vince, feeding him as he looked over his features. Victor may not have wanted to admit it, but the child looked a lot like him. The only thing he got from Scarlett was his eyes; then again, Vic had green eyes too. Therefore, it was hard to tell.

"He's starting to look like you."

"Cousin, he looks like no one, but thanks. Let's hope the test will confirm it. No matter what, he's mine."

"Vic, will it kill you to accept Vincent is yours? Or that you loved her? I don't think Scarlett lied about this. I could see it in her eyes. I know it hurt to learn she was cheating on you, but you weren't innocent either." Suddenly, Victor stopped typing to stare at Adele. He was pissed she called him out, but everyone could see it. It was also why Victor pursued Mackenzie while leading him to threaten the bitch.

Luca didn't trust Kenzie and made sure to warn her. She needed to want Victor for love and not his money, and the moment he thought differently, he would kill her. Although he told her it was a warning, it was more of a promise. He didn't like others hurting his family, and over the months, he and Victor had become close like he was with his other cousins and Erik. But he wished Liam was here with them. Luca also wondered what it would be like once they found Jaxon. Would he try to be a part of their family or destroy it? There was only one way to find out, and that was to find him, and it wasn't as easy as it sounded.
