Good...No Wait Bad News

After a long week in the hospital, Adele, Luca, and the twins were finally home. As of now, she and Axel were in the twins' room, feeding and getting them ready for bed while Sibylla and Obioma cared for Josie and Tyler. Luca, on the other hand, was in his office looking over papers pertaining to the fashion house he couldn't put off any longer. Everything was going well and quiet, plus the babies were just about asleep when the door flung open, revealing an out-of-breath Scarlett with the guards on her tail. How she knew where to find them was a mystery, but she seemed like she knew something.

"I finally have something for you, Adele. I know what Mila's planning and why she wants you out of the picture!"

"Okay— couldn't you call or wait until I left the babies' room? You could have woken them." Adele spoke as Mila bent over, catching her breath. It was important to learn Mila's plans but not at the cause of waking her girls. She and Luca barely got sleep, and Scarlett was about to wake them three hours early.

"I'm sorry, but this is important. I promise you," Adele sighed, looking back at Axel as they both placed the girls in their cribs after Axel walked out and motioned for Adele and Scarlett to follow him to Luca's office. Instead, Adele quickly made a detour to Josie and Tyler's room to make sure they were sleeping before hurrying downstairs to Luca's office. "How did you find where we lived?"

"I followed Jake from the old house to here, but you have a bigger problem. Mila knows where you live and could have easily found you as I did." She was right. If Scarlett found them so easily, so could Mila. This was unsettling, making Adele feel uneasy while she slowly inhaled, looking at Luca as Obioma walked in with a weird look. Quickly, her eyes found Scarlett as she looked closely between her and Luca.

"Who is she?"

"Sweetheart, I'm the least of your worries. What's going on, and do I need to help?" Obioma asked, but Luca shook his head, pointing to a seat for her to take. "Talk, Scar, we don't have all night."

"Victor and I just got back from the UK—"

"We know this. Get to the fucking point, Scarlett!" The woman quickly nodded, still looking between Luca and his mother as if she were connecting the dots. Instead of speaking about it, she turned to Luca and sighed. "You all need to know the full story, Luca."

"Then continue talking."

"Vic's Father called him talking about someone raping Adele, and you all suspected it to be him, but he couldn't have done it. Mila has been trying to set him up, and somehow, Victor knew I was working with you. He wants the truth to come out. So, he had me accompany him to Mila's hideout outside the city. All this time, we thought Mila wanted Adele out of the way because she was in love with Luca. It was never about you and her. It's Axel—"

"Excuse me?" Obioma asked, glaring at Axel as he looked clueless. It made Adele almost choke on her water while Luca laughed as if it wasn't possible. They were confused, especially Adele, because she wanted to know why Mila would come after her if it was about Axel. She had nothing to do with him.

"Obi, stop looking at me like you want to kill me. I have no idea what she's talking about. Scarlett, please clarify your statement."

"Axel, she's been drugging you— and... and having sex with your unconscious body—"

Obioma burst out laughing as Adele widened her eyes, looking between Luca and his father. "Little girl, stop lying. There is no way someone would scoop that low." Obioma continued to laugh until they saw the seriousness in Scarlett's eyes.

"Sophia and Ansel are your children, Axel. You're their father, not Erik. She was scared Adele would put the dots together the whole time because she was their doctor."
