Lately, it seemed like the months were going by fast, and Luca couldn't believe it had been a month since they learned Adele was having a boy. He was ecstatic for a son and couldn't wait to see who he looked like. Each day, he would go to his office and look at the sonogram Irene printed for him and think about how their family was growing. He was happy where his life was... their four children and his wife, but he wanted more. One would think he would have grown out of it after his sisters and little brother came into the picture. However, having a big family was one of his dreams.

Now, Luca could live that with his mother, grandmother, Adele's grandmother, sisters, and Jacob. Axel had always been in the picture, and he knew his father had his back even though he fussed about how they needed to slow down. Luca was getting up in age, and he wasn't about to be running after children once he was in his fifties, but he would give Adele time to recuperate before having another.

Still, he smiled as he thought about the many things he was about to teach his sons as Adele walked into the office looking sexy as she always did. It only made his smile brighter until he saw who was trailing behind her. Victor was his cousin, true enough, and he loved him, but the man spent too much time around his wife, which he hated. Vic knew this... hell, they all knew, but they did it to get under his skin, and the smile Victor gave him made Luca roll his eyes.

They were just alike, and that wasn't good. Both knew what to do to get under each other's skins, and they rarely smiled, but Victor's award-winning smile told Luca he was about to talk shit. "What the fuck are you smiling at bitch?"

"Your face, cousin." On the other hand, Adele laughed, taking a seat. She loved seeing them getting along, and it felt damn good to hang with someone his age. Everyone around Luca was older than him... everyone but Liam. However, he was gone, and like the two of them, he and Victor were more like brothers, which Adele never failed to tell the two.

"Maybe if you stay away from my wife, it wouldn't be so messed up."

"Luca, don't come at me the wrong way about this... Adele is sexy as fuck. I cannot deny that, but she's your wife. I know how we... I was in the past, but that was then, and this is now. I respect you, and I would never come between your relationship. She's family, and I look at you as a brother. You didn't have to take me in. If it was anyone else, they would have stripped away my title and killed me. You chose to give me a chance... time to build a trust bond, and I'll never break it. Adele and I related on so many levels. She had a hard life growing up and so did I until uncle killed the bastard raising me. I was corrupted and chose to do wrong. I know that now, but I also know Adele is a little sister to me. This woman loves you with everything in her soul. Be proud of that."

"I understand, so protect her like she is, and don't let her down. She can't lose you like she lost Liam, and I can't lose you either... you may be a pain in my ass, but you're family." Victor nodded as he sat while Luca sat back in his chair, thinking of their next moves about Lina and her family. Sadly, he wished they would have known Saxon was related to them before Mila got her hooks in the man; now they needed to find his twin and hope he wasn't corrupted. The whole situation was messed up and killing family should never be the answer.

Still, Luca couldn't understand how his uncle could cheat on his aunt. His story wasn't adding up, but whatever happened was in the past. Otis was lucky his wife let it go, and he had the courage to tell her before her sister could cause some real damage. Nevertheless, they had this unbreakable, weird love that he hoped he and Adele would have, but without the cheating. Plus, he loved his wife too damn much to hurt her... just seeing her smile as she was now talking to Vic made his heart swell.

It also made him upset thinking about how she could have been killed months ago and how they never got to enjoy their anniversary. The good thing was that his grandmother and Rose were working to solve that problem, so he sat in his office waiting for Sibylla's text. They were at one of their safe houses nearby, decorating it because Luca wasn't giving up until he did something special for his wife.
