More and more lately, Adele woke up later than Luca. She was tired of waking to his side of the bed being cold, but she knew he was a morning person, which she wasn't too much of lately. However, he was always on the same schedule. No matter what, Luca had to get up by four in the morning to do his morning run, and he made sure to go to the gym unless something came up and stop it. Adele didn't see how he did it but knew she would soon find out once the girls were born, but today, something else was on her mind.

The name Obioma kept crossing her train of thought, and every time Sibylla mentioned the name, Axel would look back at his son. Adele knew it was a leap, but she felt whoever this woman was could be Luca's mother. It wasn't a secret anymore. She knew his mom had to be black or mixed. Something wasn't adding up. Luca was darker than the rest, and Axel was so fucking secretive about the whole situation. Either he was protecting her, or she was a danger to Luca. None of which Adele believes.

She knew this had more to do with why he didn't want to speak about his father than Luca finding out who his mother was. Luca had the right to learn about his roots, and Axel was keeping him from learning his true self. Or maybe his mother was dead, and Axel was saving Luca from another heartbreak, but there was only one way to find out. She had to get some shit done. So, Adele hurried from the bed as fast as he body would let her. She had to pee, shower, and do her morning route before hurrying downstairs for breakfast.

She also had to convince her husband to give her Dr. Moore's number without him being suspicious. Or she could ask Kellan, who was hiding out in their kitchen, to keep from going to the gym as he normally did. "Kellan, I need a favor—"

"Nope... you're not getting me between whatever you and Luca are fighting about." He spoke, tilting his head as Adele cocked a brow. Whenever she asked the fool something, he thought she and Luca were fighting when they were just fine. "Luca and I are good, thank you very much, but I was wondering. Do you have Dr. Moore's number, and can you get me a burner phone?"

"Tell me why you need his number, and I'll let you use my phone." He smirked, causing Adele to roll her eyes. She wasn't too sure Kellan knew how to keep a secret, but she guessed she would have to trust him for now if she wanted to get this done. "I want him to run an ancestry DNA test on Luca." She spoke as Kellan tilted his head, then handed her his phone.

"What are you looking to find?"

"I don't know yet, but I do know Luca's not 100% German, white, or whatever you all want to call it. I know all of you know it too. Gabby showing up caused me to think about a lot, like how everyone keeps saying his so-called mother when they refer to Axel's wife. Sibylla keeps teasing Axel, asking him about Obioma. His first wife was black, and Obioma is a Nigerian name—"

"You forgot to mention how Unk freezes up whenever you question him about Luca's skin color. Look, De, I'm behind you with this, but what if we open up a can of worms that shouldn't be known. I don't know, but I feel like Axel has a reason to hide this from his son." Kellan could be right, but Luca had a right to know where he came from. To her, it would be harder if he found out later in his life. Plus, shit like that made it hard to trust others.

"You're right; still, Luca needs to know the truth. If Axel keeps lying to him and he finds out. It's not going to end great. It best for him to know the truth now and allow Ax the opportunity to explain himself." She said as Kellan nodded, opening his mouth until Sibylla walked in. "I didn't know the two of you were so cozy."

"Oma, I don't know what you are trying to say, but yes, De and I are friends."

"Oh yeah, then what's your problem with Nova?" She asked, making Adele look between them with a heavy sigh. "Nova and I are good. She gets like that sometimes; I'll talk it over with her. Please stay out of our business...."
