Adele was a single woman with a good job as a doctor. She thought that she whole life was on track until the day she met a man that changed her life by kidnapping her forcing her to marrying him and showing her a side of life she never knew existed...
Before Adele knew it, Khalil and her children were in her home. Lucky for her, they arrived the same day Nova and Erik's sisters decided to come over. However, she walked in, all happy, laughing, and hugging Adele. Although she had a funny feeling, it felt good to see a familiar face. "Damn girl, you look good. Though I can't believe he kept you alive. I want to know why."
Adele, Luca, and the others looked at each other, confused. It was clear to Adele; she gave her up so easily because she was sure Luca would kill her. "I never mention a thing about killing Adele. You were the one happy to tell her business. Besides, if I wanted her dead, I would have killed her that night."
"Yeah, but that still doesn't explain my question." Her smart reply made Luca want to knock her ass out, and the only thing that stopped him was Adele holding on to his arm. Clearly, she didn't know how to act around a Don, and her actions almost got her killed. In case she didn't know, everyone standing in the room was a train killer, with Nova being the craziest of them all, and it didn't make it any better when Sibylla and Obioma walked in.
"I don't like her already."
"I think you should have left the little bitch in the States and let whoever it was after her kill her." Sibylla smiled with an arched brow while Obioma started to laugh. "Oh, look, she's confused, Obioma. Sweetie, how dumb are you? Didn't you know my Grandson married your so-called best friend? In case your dense ass hasn't noticed, Luca and Adele are in love. Do you understand it now?" Sibylla smirked, making Nova laugh while Khalil looked disgusted for a moment.
Quickly, she fixed her face and looked down at Adele and Luca's hands with an upset look, which swiftly disappeared into a fake smile. Adele tried to ignore it and give her a chance, but in the back of her mind, she knew it was wrong. "You married her."
"Yes, I married her, Khalil. Does that bother you? That we are happily married. We also just had twin girls a month ago and adopted two more before then. So, I'm going to ask you again: why did you think I wanted to kill her? Is there a reason you're not telling me? Because I'm sure I only asked you about her age, address, and where she worked. Did any of that indicated I wanted her dead? I mean, if you didn't tell me, her co-worker would have. You bitches run your mouths too much for the wrong reasons."
"Damn, shut your mouth bitch before something flies in it. Luca, you're looking quite sexy today—"
"Nova, don't fucking start. Kellan, please get your girlfriend." Luca sighed as Nova rubbed his arm, trying to kiss him until he turned to her with an unreadable look. "Shit, you look so fucking sexy looking at me like that... Bitch what the fuck are you looking at? Is there a problem? Do you have a fucking problem with Dee and big sexy here being married? Because if you do, I can handle it. No one fucks with my family." Nova said, making everyone turn their attention to Khalil. They all wanted to know if she had a problem with them being married.
"No... no, there's no problem. I'm just surprised, that's all."
"Well, make sure you keep it that way. Try and fuck with their relationship, and I'll send your little ass back from which you came... and little girl if you roll your damn eyes at me again. You won't have any to roll the next time. I'm not the one to fuck with." Obioma spoke stepping close to Khalil with a serious look while Sibylla caught her attention spinning her dagger. She was waiting for her to have a smart reply. Adele could see none of them liked her, and she couldn't say she blamed them.
