Luca was upset with himself. He was over six hours away from home while his wife was at home without him, but he knew she was in good hands. Still, he was upset his father sent him to Cologne to deal with his racist ass family when he could have done it himself, and then he had to lie to his wife. She wanted to come, but from what he was told, it was a bad idea. Luca didn't want to subject his wife to their ignorance. Therefore, he paid Irene extra to lie to her about traveling. He hated leaving her, but this was business he needed to attend to that couldn't wait any longer. Something his father should have dealt with a long time ago besides running. Now, he was here instead of Axel and his siblings dealing with their problems. The granduncle who hated him because he married outside of the mafia, which he wasn't associated with. Plus, he also hated the fact Luca married a black woman. The man hated his father and uncle, and they despised him just the same. Luca could see why they packed their shit and moved over six hours away.

They were idiots, and if he knew they were a bunch of racist fucks growing up, he would never associate himself with them. The only good ones from their family were his father, Heidi, Otis, and grandfather. The rest were trash and belonged in the garbage. The sad thing he told she wasn't always this way but turned out to be an evil bitch who decided to walk in the dining room, disturbing his peace. Still, Luca couldn't say he hated her, but he did strongly dislike her. However, she gave him a sour look as she walked back into her kitchen, where his cousins and Erik were, telling him to follow like a dog or cat.

"A simple come here could help. I'm not your fucking pet... Let's get this shit over with. I want to cut ties with all you racist fucks." Luca says as his uncle enters the kitchen, frowning at this grandmother. Although this was a long time coming. They weren't bringing anything to the table, and it was a big mistake allying with his great-uncle's nonexistent mafia, which was going down the drain. All of his people were running, hiding, or turning against him. Even a few of his men had come to him months before going to South Carolina begging for work.

"That's not how you should treat your grandmother, Luca. You came here to throw me to the wolves. I know my son taught you better than that. I am your fucking grandmother, and you will treat me as such! I wasn't even invited to your wedding, and now I hear you have babies on the way!" His grandmother yelled as his uncle rolled his eyes. Still, he believed it was all an act. She didn't give a damn about Adele, and his uncle was probably itching to say something racist.

"That's not what he's trying to do, Grandmother. Trust me, you and everyone in this room know you don't care to meet Adele because of her color or your great-grandchildren; stop lying to yourself." Kellan spoke as their grandmother turned to him with a raised brow. The next thing they knew, she smacked him as hard as she could while yelling at him in German. "Nenn mich wieder Rassist und ich bring dich um! (Call me a racist again, and I'll kill you!)." Making them laugh as Luca's phone decided to ring.

'Father.'

'Having fun yet?'

'Only you would see this shit as having fun. I don't see why you couldn't have come and seen your evil ass mother. I mean, shouldn't she be dead by now or something?'

'Son, evil never dies, you know that.'

'Man fuck you! You knew they would be hard to deal with. That's why you sent me, Dad. I don't care if I am Don, this shit is torture, and she's your mother. Not mine!' Luca yelled into his phone as his grandmother and ugly-ass uncle stared holes into his forehead, causing him to flip them off and walk away to finish his conversation.

'How's Adele?'

'She's okay, Luca. Trust me, Adele's a big girl and doesn't need daddy holding her hand all the time.'
