The months flew by after they killed Lina and her crew, but Luca still hadn't learned anything about the people targeting them. It was a losing battle, and he had Victor dig through everything he could about his father's family and a little on his mother's side. They had to be sure, but they always came up with nothing. It was driving him crazy, and all he did was look through documents as he was doing now after Vic smacked him with a mountain of useless information to track down a fucking ghost. Over the months, they lost over six more warehouses.

He was losing money, and men, whoever this was, knew what they were doing. They wanted them weakened, and it was working. Then, to make matters worse, Luca had no idea what he was looking at. Everything was a foreign language; he understood numbers, not chicken scratch. The documents before him were all words that didn't make sense to him, and he was on the verge of pulling out his hair.

Luca needed to breathe as he sighed heavily, resting his head on the desk when Adele decided to scroll through his office door. The smell of her perfume made him smile, but hearing his babies' footsteps run across the floor made it even better. Slowly, he looked up with a smile.

"Dada!" One of them said as Nevaeh placed her tiny hand on his leg. His smile became a little brighter as he picked up his little angel, kissing her cheek just as Heaven ran over, begging to be picked up. Swiftly, he did the same with her, making her giggle. "Daddy's little angels... where are Josie and Ty?"

"Where else? With your grandmother and my granny as usual, but I think Tyler is with Jacob or Vic in the backyard. They wanted their Dada." He smiled, hugging them both. Everyone knew his family was the only thing that kept him sane. If not for them, Luca would have blown everything up and ran out into the danger without a thought.

What he was doing was for them, and Adele did everything she could to help him. As of now, she was sitting next to his desk, picking up the files. He watched as she scanned over them, pausing every once in a while. It was amazing she could understand the mess, but then again, everything she did amazed him. This wasn't any different.

"Liebe, you can understand that shit?"

"Yeah, it's in code a little like doctor's notes." Luca nodded since he needed all the help he could get. Everyone around them was making excuses for why they couldn't help. Victor's lie was that Vince was sick, which he just figured out was a lie. Then Erik swore Emma was having contractions. If so she was having her baby three months early. So, he wouldn't say no if his wife wanted to help. He needed a break, and while she looked through the files, Luca decided to sit on the floor and play with the twins as they squealed and pulled at his hair. The older they got. The more they liked his hair. He knew he would have to keep it in a bun.

"Baby, I think the beach couple gave us fake names. I know what Axel said: Mila's mom's little brother could be the one we're looking for, but it could be another family member. Like someone from Victor's father's side or a cousin... a female cousin as in whoever this Bryar person is." Adele had a point, and it would be easier if Axel would help. Sadly, he was being stubborn as always.

"I'm listening because I need something to go on. Dad's being his asshole self, and my Mom swears she knows nothing."

"The name Bridget keeps coming up in these files. Bryar could be Bridget. She could be using a middle name or something." Again, he nodded as his wife circled the name and handed him the file. Weirdly, the woman's name popped up on every page, but what was odd was that she was Russian. There was no way she could be related to Victor, telling him this woman was a whole different person with a different agenda.

"Yeah, but that would mean Victor's father was half-Russian. That's impossible... my grandfather hated them; therefore, he wouldn't had an affair with one."
