Luca didn't want to leave the house this morning but knew he had business to take care of at the warehouse. The thought of leaving Adele alone made him sick, but his father told him he couldn't baby her. Dele had to learn the life; if he babysat her, she would learn nothing. However, Luca was stuck at his warehouse behind a desk doing paperwork, which he hated, but it was best to do it himself. This way, Luca would know if his numbers were correct since it had something to do with his drug shipment from Russia. He had to make sure no one was cheating or stealing from him.

Luca could hear his men outside and his guards on the other side of the door talking and laughing among each other as they normally did. Everything was going well; he was on his second file with one more to go while he had Erik and his cousin manage the shipment. He couldn't have been happier until his phone beeped. One of his men claimed something was going on at the docks, something one of the others could handle, as he called for the four men outside his door, telling them to handle the situation.

In his mind, he knew it was one of his men being petty. Therefore, he wasn't going to waste his time breaking it up. It was always an issue with his soldiers; most of the time, they acted like small children. Fighting or arguing like bitches over nothing, which was a daily thing he cared not to get in, but after ten minutes passed and his guards weren't back causing, Luca to feel uneasy. Slowly, he reached for his phone as the office door opened, relieving him until he saw an unknown man dressed in all back and a ski mask.

Luca's hand automatically reached for the gun in a holder under his desk, but before his hand could release it, the intruder pulled his trigger, hitting Luca in the chest twice before retreating. Luca's body slipped from the chair, crashing the floor with a thump as he laid there watching his blood flow from his chest until his mind wandered to Adele. Luca could die... not yet quickly. He tried to stop his bleeding while he managed to lift himself from the floor to grab his phone, calling the first person that popped into his mind.

"Ja, Boss?"

"I... I've been s-shot—" Luca struggled between his ragged breath. He had difficulty breathing, and everything around him was becoming fuzzy. Luca could hear what seemed to be Erik calling his name and someone kneeling in front of him applying pressure to his wounds while Johan or Kellan screamed for the guards to help them, and one of them repeating, 'Stay with us, Luca; don't shut your eyes; they were almost there,' but after a while, their words started to sound like gibberish, and the world around him began to move slowly.

He saw trees... a lot of trees and a light as he felt himself reaching for while he tried to speak. Adele was on his mind while Erik told him to save his breath and fight for Adele, his father, and himself when suddenly Luca felt his body being pulled from the car. His men were all around him, and Liam yelling for them to hurry, at least that's what it sounded like. However, one yelled that it was too far to take him through the front. That's when he heard her voice. "What the hell is going on?" Adele questioned, causing Luca's body to jerk. She didn't need to see him like this. How could they be so fucking stupid to carry him in where she could see him? Luca didn't want her to see him as he jerked his body again, listening to Mila's screams.

"OH MY GOD ERIK! A-ARE YOU OKAY?! Are you hurt, baby?" Luca's body started to shake, which caused his cousins and Erik to panic. "He's going into cardiac arrest! Get him downstairs now!" Liam yelled to whoever was holding Luca as his surroundings started to fade.

"Erik, what is going on!"

"It's Luca...Luca was shot!" Erik spoke. Luca's breaths started to become heavy as Liam told him they were almost there and to hold on. He was trying his best as Mila screamed. "ADELE...OH MY GOSH!" After that, everything became a dream until he heard a beeping sound to his left, causing him to wake quickly. Shit was taped to his body as he realized he was in the clinic. "Shit, it wasn't a dream." He spoke, looking down at the bandages on his chest. He was shot, and the shit hurt like a muthafucka, but only one thing what on his mind, and that was Adele.
