Luca knew Adele hated being on bed rest, but it was best for the babies, and he didn't want anything to happen to her or them. He didn't care what she thought she needed to do, and if it had anything to do with the newest additions to their family, he could pick up the slack or find someone to help. It was why he asked Irene to come to their room and why he had his mother and Nova as backup, although Nova stood there and said nothing. Luca should have bought his grandmother instead, but she was walking back into the house as he reached the kitchen, asking Kathy to take Adele her food.

"And where have you been?"

"Minding my own fucking business as you should be doing." Sibylla smiled, making Luca chuckle. "I heard you bought some children home. Do you think that was the right thing to do? Look at the shit going on around you, Luca. It's not safe. I don't mean to overstep my boundaries, but they are innocent. I don't know what I would do if something happened to them." Luca understood his grandmother's concern and had thought about it, but letting them go into the system wasn't safe either. Yeah, he was walking them into a dangerous life but planned to protect them with his all.

"I thought about that, and my solution is to move. I was planning to do it the day after all that shit when down, but with Gabriella and my Mom showing up, I pushed it back. The house is a surprise birthday gift to Adele." He shrugged, knowing his wife's birthday was in a few days, September 14th.

"You know my birthday?"

"What the hell, Adele? You're supposed to be in the fucking bed!"

"I know, but Kathy was taking too long with the food. You know my birthday, and I don't know yours." She frowned as Sibylla laughed. Adele had pregnancy brain because they had discussed this when they signed their marriage licenses, but he guessed she forgot. "You know my birthday, but since you can't remember, it's October 17th, almost a month after yours. Nova, help your friend back up the stairs, and Kathy, please hurry with her food. By the way, where did you leave Josephine and Tyler." He spoke until he saw Axel with the baby boy and Josie holding his mother's hand as Nova hurried Adele back to their room.

"That was nice of you... to buy her a home. See Axel, I told you he would be more like me than you." Obioma smiled while Sibylla took the kids into the dining room to eat. Luca could see he was about to have one of those talks with his parents. Therefore, he slowly sat on a stool, waiting for them to start. "Are either of you going to talk, or will I have to ask the questions?"

"Ask away."

"Okay, first, why did you allow someone else to raise me?" Luca asked as Obioma looked at Axel, as he glared at Luca. "It was a bit complicated. I don't know what all your father told you about me before coming—"

"Nothing, and I wouldn't have known anything if it wasn't for my wife. Growing up, I always wondered why everyone always said my so-called mother, but when I asked my father about it would shut me down. I thought they were trying to get under my skin, and then I met Dele. She questioned why it was darker than my father, cousins, aunts, and uncles and why Liam and I didn't look more alike when our mothers were siblings. I want to know why. Why couldn't you just tell me the fucking truth?" He said as Axel sighed, leaning against the counter.

"We agreed to tell you once you turned eighteen, but things happened, Luca. We lost touch, and then I was forced to get married. You were doing so good your father didn't want to flip out and wanted it to stay a secret for now. We started seeing each other again a year ago, but you were in the States. When you came back, you had Adele, and he wanted to wait again. I should have put my foot down, but I knew about the dark place you were in before and didn't want to risk you slipping back in it." Luca respected that but was still pissed because he deserved the truth.
