"You seem like you're upset about something," Luca said as he sat by his sister after Adele forced him to. He knew he needed to get to know her, but it would have been great to do it on his own time besides being cursed out by his wife. Still, Luca didn't know what to say to her. The closest he had to a sibling was his cousins, Erik, the twins, and Mila, before she decided to turn against them. He grew up with his cousins, and it was easy to speak to them. Gabriella was different, but the least he could do was try. However, the girl sighed deeply as she stared out the window at the rain before turning to him with a soft smile.

"Have you ever felt lost? Like you don't belong or no matter what you do isn't good enough for others? I tried to be a good person, but I wanted to make everyone pay who had done me wrong. I keep asking myself the same question if Benjamin hated me so much, why didn't my Mom just give me to our Dad? I feel lost and scared. I-I lied; before my Grandfather died, he told me where to go and where to find my Dad, but he didn't tell me the full story. Only that my Dad was well off and lived in Germany. He gave me the address and told me how to withdraw my money, and I ran. I just want to be somewhere I belong."

Luca stared at her, thinking of the right word to say. It wasn't a secret that he was a jackass, so he didn't want to say something to make the girl feel bad. She was a teenager, and he knew how sensitive they could be. It wasn't like talking to Adele, Nova, or any of the women he was close to. He knew all of them well, and it was easy to speak his mind around them. "I think you would belong if you stay true to yourself. You don't have to lie around us, Gabriella. I can't say I know what you are going through, but I have felt lost before. The difference is I had people around me who loved and helped me get by. You feel the way you do because you feel like you didn't have a family who loved you. No matter what you think, your Mother loved you, and your stepfather may have been an idiot, but he loved you enough to protect you from the very thing he was against. "He said, touching her shoulder, causing the girl to smile and nod.

"I could sugar this, but I felt you are old enough to understand. It is time for you to move forward with your life and leave the past in the past. I could tell you to kill everyone who done you wrong, but our Father has already taken care of that, and I took care of the last loose string. We're family, and nothing can change that. I could be upset that I found out I have a sister sixteen years younger than me, but I'm relieved I finally have someone other than myself. So, you need to know there is nothing to worry about here. You'll be loved no matter what." Somehow, Luca's eyes found his wife's smiling face while Gabby touched his hand, whispering thank you.

She was happy but didn't know the full truth of how crazy their family was, but she was about to find out. Their grandmother was about to drive her crazy along with the others once they found out who she was. Luca just had to make sure Mila didn't learn this news because he was sure Gabby would be next on her list, and he couldn't allow that to happen.

"Hey, Dad, before your mother comes in—"

"What is that you want?"

"Damn, give me time to speak... Have you ever thought to maybe your Father didn't die?" He questioned, making Axel and Otis turn to him as if he lost his fucking mind. It was a simple question, but they looked horrified. "You're talking nonsense, Luca. Axel, I think your son had something he didn't need. The bastard is dead."

"You say that, but we have done some searching and—"

"I know what you found. Trust me, we know the truth, so please leave the past where it belongs, son. He's dead. Your grandmother made sure of it. There's nothing else to talk about." He said as Otis shrugged, but Luca didn't believe his father knew the full story of what happened to his first wife. Plus, Luca needed to know if she was his real mother. "There was no death certificate or anything about his death. We also have reason to believe he killed your first wife and framed you. I know you said to leave it alone, but look at this. The imprint on her face—"
