Nowadays...

I look at the last message I received from Nini on my cell phone and take another sip of beer, at the same time as the DJ we hired starts playing. The music echoing through the factory just as we had planned.

"I need a break."

I close the screen and put the cell phone back in my pocket, running a hand through my hair in frustration.

My cock had been inside her so many times last night that she'd practically slept sitting on it and now she needed a break?

People are arriving and the place is starting to fill up, but I haven't seen Nini since I left her at Aunt Emmy's, and as much as I was doing my best to give her the time she asked for, it was killing me.

I left the second-floor corridor and went downstairs, starting to pass people and greet them.

Now that, according to the gossip, Beth has broken up with me and I'm a heartbroken team captain, I've become a hunting object for any girl in that school who isn't related to me and even Jett and Indie, even though they know I'm with Nini, have had their fun spreading elaborate stories about how it all happened.

To make matters worse, people were completely ignoring the appearance that Nini and I had made at the ball, believing that we were from the "same family" and therefore had nothing.

And thinking about those two and their antics, I see two little creatures walking hand in hand, distracting me from the drama I was experiencing and I rush after them without them noticing, catching them before they reach one of the barrels of beer the team has brought.

"Good evening, children" I greet them, standing in front of them both at the same time.

"Oh, shit!" Jett grumbles, stopping with Indie on his back.

Jett had his face painted to disguise it, but Indie was wearing her backpack full of stuffed keychains that I could recognize from afar.

"May I ask what the two brats are doing here?" I ask, trying to contain my smile.

"What do you think?" Jett retorts, crossing his arms.

"Ivar, please!" Indie asks in a pout.

"It's after midnight! How did you manage to escape?"

"Why should we tell you?"

"Because if you tell me, I might let you stay here for another hour..."

"Really?" they both ask at the same time.

"No way," I laugh, shaking my head and putting my hands on both of their shoulders, guiding them towards the door. – "Come on, I'll be kind enough to give you a lift instead of calling Uncle Will and Uncle Kai."

"You're a pain in the ass, you know that?" Jett grumbles, rolling his eyes.

"Come on, Ivar... it doesn't even have to be an hour! Please! It's Devil's Night! Everyone's out and we don't want to be stuck with babysitters for another year!" Indie pleads on the way and I pull her to me, putting an arm around her neck, kissing the top of her head.

"You're two little pests, you know that?" I grumble and stop walking. – "If I let you enjoy the party, I need you both to be at the exit in fifty-nine minutes, waiting for me and ready to leave, and if you're not there by the end of the hour, my cell phone will already be calling your parents, understand?"

They both nod positively and when I let out a sigh, they are no longer there, walking back through the party, the lights making them blend in with the guests.
