Wishes or demands

I guess aside from the games part, I am nervous about this, saying birthday wishes for him. I don't want all of their attention, and I hated more the part where I had to say something nice about him when right now I am full of hurt and disappointments.

I am not ready to be fake in front of all of them, so I purposely sat far behind my friends, hiding myself to not grab Nathan's attention. I don't want him to urge me to stand in front and give a little speech.

"To my brother, Happy womb expulsion anniversary day!"

Hindi ko nga narinig ang kabuuan ng mensahe ni Malik para kay Deuce dahil sa nerbyos. Nicco moved to the front, boldly using the microphone stand he had snatched.

"In my experience, he was a devoted employee who always went above and beyond to ensure that his teams and crews had all they needed. An elder brother who voluntarily assisted me when I was still naive and inexperienced, and someone I could all look up to." Nicco genuinely start his speech with smiles on his lips.

"I really assumed Deuce was a stiff, boring pilot man, but I was sorely mistaken. You are the coolest guy I know, brother. Deuce's work ethic has always motivated me to strive for excellence in all I do. You seem to be someone I can always rely on and trust. I am happy to be your friend but i just wanna remind you that your parents had sex approximately 9 months before this day! Happy birthday,"

"What the fuck, bro!" tawang tawa ang mga kaibigan dahil sa biro ni Nicco.

Pagkatapos magsalita ni Nicco ay nilapitan niya si Deuce para mayakap. They both looked happy and enjoying the time. Nakaabang naman kami sa susunod na sasalang sa harap.

"You seem quite serious and frightening at work, to be honest, but I've come to understand that you're really just a private person who doesn't really waste energy on things that aren't important to you. I am aware that you already possess everything, but if I may grant you one wish, it will be for you to have a mini Captain Legrand in the future—possibly next year?"

"Did you just gave him a task with a deadline, Dinara?"

Dinara blatantly make fun of that in front of everyone, but they all seemed to like it which made everyone laugh out loud.

"What the hell is wrong with these people!" Adita shook her head chuckling. "I have to make mine more rational because these two idiots stated a lot of stupid things. May you always have motivation to pursue your goals. One day, I hope you'll discover what your hearts truly need—some time off, a leisurely day for rest and an innate peace to calm your mind. Happy birthday!"

"And please don't lock her up or cage her too much. I know that you two are a thing, but we also want to hang out with my girl, Avis."

She mentioned me in her speech for Deuce, and my eyes widened. She didn't realize that I was no longer acquainted with him. Yes, he consumed much of my time, and I don't even have much time to talk to my other friends.

Pero hindi na kailangan ang wish na iyon dahil hindi naman na talaga kami mag uusap o magsasama ni Deuce simula ngayon.

Boys were grinning at me and wanted to tease me, but for some reason they chose not to. 

Yoni appeared dejected, even though I knew she was aware of my current situation.  Dinara, on the other hand, refrained from responding by simply taking a sip from her glass.

"I've known this guy since we were young, and I can tell how much you've grown as a man. Deuce, I'm so proud of the person you've grown into. And all I want is for you to meet the one you were meant to be with. Whatever the case, I hope you're enjoying every chances you have now and living the best life possible...Just remember  though that you're not allowed to be an asshole this time," Nathan sound like he's warned his friend.
