"Do you like me?" di ko mapigilan ang sarili na itanong iyon. We're making our way to one of the parks that is 100% dedicated to illuminations. The Ashikaga Flower Park has a great flower-themed illumination event.

Natigil kami sa gitna nang paglalakad at hinarap ko siya. Maybe it's the alcohol intake that made me feel fearless this time to even dare say all of this things.

I know i kinda felt rejected the last time we talked in his apartment and that's the reason why i no longer put and effort to connect with him but what he's doing now is starting to stir things up again.

"Here, christmas is not about religion but more about making a cozy and warm atmosphere during the colder dark days and enjoying the company of a significant other or friends. So it just makes sense that i get to spend it here with you." his serious about it and that just made me even more confused than happy.

"Admit it i pacified you already," hirit niya at parang nang iinis pa.

In most countries especially in the Philippines people celebrate Christmas, the holiday season revolves around being with family. It is the time when adult kids go back to their parents' home in the province to get together and an opportunity to meet your extended family again. For many, it is the one time every year that they get to see their relatives.

And unfortunately i dont get to experience that back home. I am in a weird family situation and i kinda got used to it kaya rin siguro di problema sa akin ang mga trabaho kahit holiday season.

I even forgot the date today and didn't even prepare a gift for my friends or even for Hervé who suddenly gifted me an expensive necklace.

"So you planned this?"

"Not really but i kind of hoped i get to spend the night with you here," His eyes dreamy with a slight flushed on his cheeks. It starts to get colder than usual maybe because it's already late in the evening.

I cocked my head towards him and acted doubtful about his actions.

"What?" tanong niya. "About your question if i like you? Romantically you mean? Well first i—"

"Fine! We should find a Christmas market around here. I should buy you at least one gift," binabawi ko na parang ayaw kong marinig yun at biglang umurong ang kaluluwa ko.

I should drink more alcohol then since for some reason it makes me feel crazy and annoyingly fearless every time i am not my normal self.

Felt him grabbed my hand and pulled me in his arms, still continued to walk around the area. "Any gift ideas for me?" pang iinis niya.

"You can find tasty western-style winter snacks like fried cheese and roast beef, as well as Glühwein...or carousel toys—you are old enough to choose what gift you want so," Bahala siya at wala ako sa mood na mag effort na ibalot pa yun para sa kaniya.

He chuckled at what i said and we continued strolling through the streets. We even took a couple of pictures as we go along the way to the market.

Good thing i have two stuff toys with me as we walk around in a cold weather. Yung kasama sa gift basket kanina na patty and jimmy toys ay hawak ko.

We both looked so different from what we usually do in a usual day. We dont look in sync in terms of our choice of clothing since we're not wearing a company uniform.

And what's even worse is that our team members saw us in the market. Buti nalang kausap ko yung tindera at abala ako sa pagbabayad ng pinamili kaya si Hervé ang unang nilapitan nila.
