Ojtaro takes his old and red candle with the immortal flame and raises it, after getting as close to the Spirit as possible. Sentinekka and Symphony imitate him; with elegance and awe, they look at each other as if to make sure they are not lost.
Suddenly, a blue light emerges from the Spirit, instantly brightening... And disappearing.
Everyone lowers their arms, always with the flames in their hands.
«Where did he go?» Sentinekka asks, surprised.
«Turn around» the expert friend replies, pointing to a something behind him.
And the Spirit Ojtaro was talking about is there, inside the cave.
It's really a memory... Now it's all clear...
«Let's follow him» Ojtaro says, indifferent.
The trio goes after the luminous figure, which is not alone. There is a woman with medium length hair and a long dress and a little girl with a ponytail. The fluorescent boy, a gentleman with short hair and a tunic that reaches his knees, is showing the two of them an illustration on the stone wall in front of them and some candle that he could sell to them.
Suddenly, the three people disappear and reappear away from the friends.
«Every time we reach for the Spirit, the memory changes. This is how we learn his story to the fullest! Do you understand how this works?» the fourteen-year-old explains, as he, Symphony and Sentinekka walk towards the new representation.
This time, the Spirit gestures in front of a table. The two in company look at him concentrated and pay attention to his words.
«Actually...» Sentinekka whispers, stopping abruptly. Her two friends imitate her and look at her curiously. «These Spirits look like us» the little girl smiles. «Don't they?».
Symphony doesn't understand right away. Ojtaro, instead, responds with joy:«It's true Sen'... In a certain sense, they look just like us... Even thought I would never sell you a candle. What a boring thing».
Symphony gasps and exclaims:«Hey, you are right, Sentinekka!».
The Children look at the memory calmly. Then, the thirteen-year-old says:«The Spirit who explains looks like Ojtaro... While you and I, Symphony, are very similar to the two girls who listen to him. He is teaching them many things too... Who knows what, however...».
Ojtaro chuckles and strokes the head of his young friend, who looks into his eyes, amused, and finally invites the two to continue.
Even that part of the memory disappears, making room for another one.
It is similar to the first: the boy shows a vast mythological drawing to his companions - and candles, but the two girls look more interested in his story than in the candles - , who observe the illustration with interest and desire to discover.
Clouds, earth, bowed people... That's the picture.
After seeing that part, the three friends see another one. It's the last one. The boy shows the woman and the girl a flying boat. Above it are dark jars and vases. The boat seems to point towards a single destination: the temple of the Elder of the realm.
The two girls are a few steps away from him, hand in hand.
Who knows... Maybe they're mother and daughter... Or just friends, or related in different ways. Sentinekka doesn't have the time to think about it that everything disappears for the last time.
A kneeling black figure sits in front of the three friends. Following her instincts, Sentinekka offers his candle to the Spirit; so Ojtaro and Symphony do too.
The boy stands in front of them. And, on the ship that has just reappeared, the two girls he met look at him gratefully and excitedly.
The Spirit, before letting go of the two new friends, says these exact words:«Be careful... Have a good trip! It was wonderful to see you!».
And the vision ends with him solemnly pointing to the temple, like he was saying to the boat to go towards that beautiful destination.
-----
«That's how it's done» Ojtaro concludes. «Have you seen his movement? You can imitate him from today until the end of time» he says, proud of his travel companions. He's starting to like them. Should he...? He never liked much the people he helped, but these two are quite amusing and nice. Mostly Sentinekka. He even found a nickname for her: Sen'. It just went out of his mouth. It was all natural. How cute.
The best friends do the trick from the Spirit. Symphony does it more calmly than the Sentinekka, who almost stumbles on the ground.
Ojtaro holds back his laughter. Sentinekka is so much funny when she's up to something!
