«This Trial will be stressful, I know that. What do Children of Light hate the most, my "loyal assistant"?».
«The crabs when there is a shard near?».
Ojtaro hits his head with a hand. «I expected that» he sighs and concludes:«The strong wind, Youssef! Aren't you mad when you want to reach a place but you can't because of the wind?!».
«No?».
«I'm starting to believe that you're not normal».
«I'm just better than the others!».
«Mh... Nah. You're just patient» Ojtaro shakes his head. «And a narcissist, sometimes».
«Hey! I'm not a narcissist!».
«Then don't say this stuff. You might become like the Gloating Narcissist. The Little Prince would inundate you with questions».
-----
«Master the harmony of the heights and you won't disappoint them».
Depressing.
The Prince was so depressing, for real.
He always wanted to make his family happy and tried to help so many people, only to end up giving birth to many wars and problems; this story makes Ojtaro say one thing only:«Drama!».
Youssef laughs. «What was that for?» he asks, smiling in his confused way. «Are you talking about...».
«The life of the Prince, obviously! Now that we know two parts of four of his story in the Trials, we can understand that he was: sad, forced to be helpful, too much kind and trustful... What else?» the young boy and future Elder says, using his typical, sarcastic tone.
«Too much like you!» the assistant exclaims, amused.
Ojtaro's expression becomes filled with surprise, who turns then in anger and then in offense.
He shouts:«He was not like me! I could never...». Ojtaro is feeling to many emotions. He feels like he can't pronounce his name anymore. Comparing someone to the Prince who became the creator of the Darkness is a terrible action, and now he can see why. «I am not weak» he concludes, looking down and continuing the Trial he was supposed to do all alone, without receiving any help from some local idiot like Youssef.
«Huh? Wait for me! Hey!» the other calls him, but Ojtaro doesn't turn around.
He just tells him:«Shut up and follow me, before I make you fall from the tallest island».
«Uhm... Y... Yessir...».
And so they keep walking. Ojtaro glares at Youssef everytime their gazes meet each other. The other one looks at him, scared and confused. He doesn't understand the meaning of the words he said. He doesn't understand that the weakness of Ojtaro is being called weak.
-----
One jump. He has to make the last jump and then he'll have freedom for two weeks, like every time he finishes a Trial.
Youssef managed to make it. He's waiting for him on the surface of ice and snow he has to reach.
He breathes. He doesn't know how Youssef did it without problems. Luck? He doesn't actually care. Not at all.
«You can do it!» Youssef shouts from afar. «You are the best at the Trials! And you are faster than a bird!».
«I hope so...» Ojtaro whispers. He's starting to think he's not that good, talented or even brave, strong... He's starting to feel different from before. He needs air, but not the same of the Trial of Air. He just needs to get out of there.
From the island he was on, Ojtaro takes a leap that takes him onto a current of cold, freezing air. The wind pushes him closer and closer to the goal and, finally, he bumps into the stow of the next island with his face in the ground. He snorts, while Youssef smiles and exclaims:«You did it! Congratulations!».
He almost forgot about the offense of Youssef. Now that he only has to reach the Cave of Prophecies, he just doesn't want to feel bad. He's free again.
