Valley (2) - Chapter 11

He usually loves hugs, and is loving that one even more... But now how can he tell her about the little jewel that Teth gave Sentinekka that day? He can't just go like:«Hey, Sen', do you remember the pendant of the Forest Elder? Well, it is supposed to represent my life and must be protected at every cost» or else. He would ruin the moment and would make Sentinekka feel anxious. Damn it.

So he stays quiet, hoping for another right moment to come. Sadly, one of those situations can be so unusual!

Oh well... He will have to wait. But, at least, Sentinekka's affection is making him feel happy.

«I'm so glad I met you!» she exclaims after letting him go. «You have always been so sweet towards me! I could never wish for a better friend!».

«You stole my words, Sen'. Did you realize that?». Yeah, if he continues this way they're never gonna reach the Theater, but saying this stuff is a part of him anyways.

Okay, let's forget the last words that were written here. Sentinekka and Ojtaro finally came to the area of the famous Season of Performance.

The benches reserved for the public are full, but the square is free. Those who don't have a seat can take a place around without much difficulty.

The two friends stand near the stage of the Theater and wait. Ojtaro must see his family, while Sentinekka is searching for Symphony in the crowd.

Far away, sitting on a soft, white and red pad, there is his brother Horand. So, they are already here. Perfect. Ojtaro can't see clearly the other members of his family, but his father can see many things, so he's probably going to find Ojtaro before he finds them.

«Do you see her?» Sentinekka asks him, worried.

«Symphony? Not yet» he answers with his normal and cold tone. «Be patient, I'm sure she's coming».

«I hope so... What if...?».

«She'll come, don't be scared. I may not like her, but I know she cares about you. She's just late or similar». His words that should be comforting appear as empty as the Darkness. «Oh, here she is! See?».

He is right, Sentinekka can finally feel sure. Symphony, now a sixteen-year-old with long, wavy hair, wearing her traditional mask and a brown gardener's outfit, looks at the two friends and greets them both. Wait. She's saying "hi" to Ojtaro too? Maybe just for education.

Ah yes, just for education. She literally starts to talk with Sentinekka, and that is how Ojtaro remains silent until the show begins.

During it, Ojtaro can feel his friend's words again. «I'm sorry if you are feeling an outcast, you know how Symphony can be».

«You know I know it» he says. Then, no more voices. He'll never ever be angry at Sentinekka for something like this. He could never. That would be unforgivable.
