The view before the kids is marvelous: islands in the clouds... And above them there are blue, silver and gold towers.
«That's gorgeous...» Symphony whispers, and she's right. It's a breathtaking place.
«I guess you don't know what to do» Youssef says to her and to Sentinekka, who nods her head.
«You have to ring the magical golden bells of the towers. It is a fundamental experience. It will allow you to chart your own path to the next realm» Ojtaro explains and cross his arms in pride.
«Exactly! The Daylight Prairie is my favorite realm!» Youssef exclaims with an excited tone.
«I don't have a favorite realm, they're all different. This little place is nice thought» Ojtaro says, smiling.
«So we have to reach for the bells and ring them?» Symphony asks, surprised by the strange task they have to perform.
Ojtaro and Youssef nod at the same time and invite the two to follow them.
There are five islands in all. One to the right, one to the left, one back and one in between. All but the last have cobalt blue towers with spikes, which turn out to be the bells. And then, above all, as a final stage, stands the one with a huge structure with the same colors as the towers and with a stone entrance. Then, attached to the tips of that place, many blue and yellow triangular festoons move merrily due to a light breeze.
«That temple» says Ojtaro. «Belongs to Ayin, the Elder of the Prairie...».
Youssef stops him:«You know the Elder's name?! How?!». He looks at him in a shocked way. «Elders never tell anyone their names!» he adds to help the friends understand the situation.
«Well, the Elder of the Isle of Dawn didn't want me to know his name...» Sentinekka thinks out loud.
«Uhm...» Ojtaro tries to speak. He immediately justifies himself, saying:«In my village, we gave the Elders imaginary names to not confuse them».
«Oh yeah?» Symphony asks him, incredulous.
«Yes!» Ojtaro hastens to answer, rubbing his head.
«How much creativity! It's wonderful!» Sentinekka exclaims, softened.
Ojtaro chuckles in relief and shakes his head. «Thank you. I would say the same thing about...» he tries to say, but he is abruptly interrupted by Youssef, who shouts with excitement:«It doesn't matter, let's proceed towards the first bell! The one in the center! Then we will leave towards the second one, then the next one and finally towards the temple!».
Ojtaro glares at him. Youssef is so noisy and childish that it gives him a headache.
-----
As they fly to the smaller island in between, Ojtaro thinks of the words he wanted to say to Sentinekka. She has a beautiful name. He was dying to tell her that she has a gorgeous name. In all his life he never heard a prettier and sweeter name than that. He smiles just thinking about it.
That little girl is really lucky. With that always kind and cuddly behavior, her infinite desire to learn and her trust in everything and everyone. Every moment he spends with her increases the regret of having to leave her soon.
«Stupid lessons...» he thinks cruelly. «Hope they finish soon...».
It's just the Lessons of the Passage to blame... But it's also his fault... He could never say no when family calls. And, anyway, they need help. The lessons don't organize themselves in a year.
