The rain... Sentinekka knew nothing about the Hidden Forest. She didn't believe there would be rain.
They passed the three gates - and even relived the memory of a Spirit that stood between the first and second gates - and the cold undoubtedly increased.
«After this realm I will definitely have a nice cold!» Sentinekka jokes, chuckling. She tries to make the situation positive. One thing she learned from her village is that you have to find the positive side of everything, becasue a situation is never completely bad.
«What's so great about it? Why do you say it like that?» Ojtaro asks, confused.
«Well, at least I'll get stronger. Every illness or negative thing make us stronger and teaches us something» Sentinekka explains while she smiles happily.
Ojtaro takes on an even more intrigued expression. «Are you sure? I don't think getting sick is good. Sickness can kill».
Step by step, their conversation continues. The two stop under a small black stone gazebo with white candles inside. There are many places like that there.
Ojtaro points to a strange blue and black plant and explains to Sentinekka:«That dark flower is able to give you warmth with its energy. If you bring a heat source close to it, like a candle, it will dissipate and help you a bit. Do you want to try?».
«Sure, that's a wonderful idea!».
Sentinekka takes her blood-red candle and bends down near the little plant, without paying attention to the rain that slowly consumes her Light.
-----
Ojtaro sighs. While waiting for Sentinekka to finish with the dark flower, he realizes that his friend is not used to traveling in the cold rain of the Forest. She is new, after all. She knows nothing of the realms, and she is fragile.
«Protect those who don't know» he repeats himself in his mind. His Guide had told him so, and he must listen to him.
With a lightning-fast gesture, he turns away so as not to be noticed by his companion, he creates sparks with his hands and, instantly, an umbrella as dark as night appears in them.
Then, he walks towards Sentinekka and, after opening the umbrella, stands next to her to make sure to protect her from the water, and gives her a hand with the plant until it disappears completely.
«Thank you, Oj'!» Sen' exclaims, softened by her friend's gesture. She doesn't even wonder where the umbrella came out from. That's good.
«I am your guidance; I'm happy to help you» he replies, giving her a benevolent smile.
He holds her close and, calmly, the two continue to explore the place.
Together, they help Spirits, destroy dark plants, float on mushrooms of Light glued to tree trunks, and, after a whole day of looking at the Forest, manage to sit under one of the gazebos.
That one in particular is higher than the others, above a set of dark hills. There are white candles around it that warm it.
Sentinekka and Ojtaro are calm, safe from dangers, clinging to each other due to the cold that is slowly disappearing. The Forest is not one of the best realms. Indeed, it is one of the most dangerous places in the ranking that Ojtaro has made for himself.
He is not surprised by this. He was born there. The lie of him being born in the Isle of Dawn has been around for a long time.
Unfortunately, Ojtaro looks a lot like the Forest Elder, and consequently resembles the realm itself.
Suddenly, the boy gets an idea that could improve the atmosphere even more.
He hopes with all his heart that Sentinekka won't ask questions about what he's going to do, as he pulls out a small white piano with gold edges from who knows where. Actually, he has always had it under his cape for all of this time.
It's a kind of keyboard he's had for a few years. His Guide gave it to him to make him understand more about the world of the music.
With his friend's confusion, he begins to play a melody created by a deity. A demigoddess with blonde but almost white hair, golden wings and who can be seen wearing something blue. Everyone knows her and she knows everyone.
He doesn't know why, but she once told him:«If You Show Yourself To Someone And That Someone Will Accept You, Don't Leave Them» or something like that. He always tried to understand that. He never did. But what if...
-----
Sentinekka has never heard a more beautiful melody.
«You're very talented!» she exclaims, passionately clapping her hands to the rhythm.
«Why don't you join? I'd love to hear you sing» Ojtaro suggests with eyes that seem to be moved and trustful.
She shrugs. She doesn't know the lyrics of the song, but she could try to improvise... She doesn't want to disappoint him.
Somehow, new words come out of her mouth.
«You're a part of the Dawn, where the light comes from the Dark; You're a part of the Morning and Everything Matters; And we are... An atom and a star; You're a part of the Movement and Everything Matters».
«So, you know that song?» Ojtaro asks enthusiastically. Something happened, but she doesn't know what and why.
«I believe... I have no idea».
«You just sang the correct words and you tell me you don't know if you know the song?».
