«You look like an expert thought... That's strange. How old are you? Did you start your journey at the required age?» Guwa asks her, intrigued. She's a very curious Messenger!
Sentinekka answers her question:«I'm fourteen years old and, yes, I started my journey one year ago. I never went in this realm, but I have a mission to complete here».
«A mission? What mission? You can tell me, I won't tell a soul».
«I know you won't, you are a Messenger of the Stars!» Sentinekka exclaims with a relieved stare. «But, trust me, the things you will hear are going to be... Kinda... Unusual. I don't think I should tell you».
Guwa smiles, amazed. «You surely know something that the other Children ignore... And you have a friendship with someone with my same role, I can see that».
«I do, actually» the young girl replies with a confident look. «If you really promise that you won't tell anyone... Do you want to help me? A magical hand would be pretty nice».
«Tell me your "unusual mission" first. Then, I'll help you».
Sentinekka shows her the jewel of the Vault of Knowledge. «Do you recognize this?».
Guwa gasps, shocked. «It's the sybol of the missionaires and ancestors of the Vault of Knowledge! Where did you get it? It looks new as a Moth in the Isle!».
She raises an eyebrow and waits for the other to understand. She takes a while to do it, but she finally exclaims:«The Elder chose you for something! But... For what?».
«This must be a secret between me and you and us only. Do you promise you won't tell anyone about this?».
«I promise, you can trust in me!».
«I have to save someone, two people, here: a friend and...» Sentinekka says, then she lowers her tone until it's barely audible and continues, with a quite nervous stare:«A King... Of... The Eden».
Silence falls as the water of the torrent that belongs to the Hidden Forest. One stares at the other in shock, while the only sounds that can be heard are the stones that keep falling like rain.
«I told you that my mission was... Unusual...» Sentinekka interrupts the quiet around them. «But you mustn't tell this to anyone, or they could try to stop me and put the Kingdom in danger!» she adds with a scolding and worried tone. The Messenger's silence is giving her anxiety, and she fears she might talk about this to someone.
«If I help you» Guwa begins. Her face has now got a cold expression. «You will have to explain more than what you said. You don't look like someone who would make our home risk. Also, Lamed usually knows what she does. I trust you, but I surely need more details».
«I will give you the informations you need. Just... Keep this secret».
«As I said, I'm not going to tell this to anyone. When the Messengers make a promise, they keep it until they die permanently».
Sentinekka does a sigh of relief. «Thank you very much» she concludes. «This means a lot to me».
Guwa makes a small but insecure smile. She probably doesn't know if she should trust for real someone who is going to save King Resh, but she'll understand that he deserves it. Guwa will discover all the lies behind the story that the Elders and her friends of the Stars always told her and... Well, they lied to Ojtaro, the Children and the new Creatures too... Yes, to them too. Why would they be scared of the Eden otherwise?
Guwa offers her hand to Sentinekka.
«Follow me, I will lead you through this hell. I hope you know what you will see».
«I do know, and I thank you for your kindness» Seninekka answers with a faithful face.
They walk, and at the same time meteors keep falling behind them. The place they're crossing is free, there are no dangers. But that part is just a little piece of the risky land they're going in.
