Author's Note: this part of the story will contain the events of the last one, but seen from Ojtaro's point of view. Indeed, the Passage Lessons will be barely mentioned here, and the Trials of Prophecy will be described. Thank you for reading!
Ojtaro reaches the Cave of Prophecies. He knows that his father's first Lesson will be about introducing the students to the other Children. Well... They are gone. They ran away while the Guide was rearranging some object or who knows what.
Ojtaro smirks and giggles. Poor Guide.
The end of the tunnel leads Ojtaro to a whole place with stairs. So many stairs... He stares at them in confusion: he can fly. Why are there stairs if the Children of Light have to fly? Why? He doesn't even want to know who is the crazy ancestor who built the stairs.
The boy does what normal Children would do to joke over it. He flies and avoids them.
He puts his feet back on the ground and, on the walls of the corridor, various illustrations appear around him. They tell the story of... Tsk. The King. The big genius who created the Darkness.
Ojtaro doesn't care about it. He can't wait to go home already.
In front of him there are two doors that must be opened with the Light of a candle, so he takes his little flame and puts it on the blue diamonds, one after another. They start to light up and an old spell opens them.
The real Cave of Prophecies is here, under that little path he walked through.
It's just a normal cave: it is large and spacious, it contains four different areas scattered around: they represent Water, Earth, Air and Fire, the Trials he will have to face. In the center there is a totem showing four illustrations. They too speak clearly about what he will see. But, next to the totem, someone appears...
It's the Prophecy Guide. He's all alone. The others will introduce themselves when their time will come.
«So, you must be Ojtaro» he says in a strangely nice and warm tone.
Well, of course it's him! What did he expect to see?! The Grandma from the Season of Belonging coming for the Days of Feast?!
«Yeah. I'm Ojtaro» the boy replies while looking at the Guide, the man who will accompany him for five lessons into the world o the ancient magic. Wow, totally, totally amazing.
He steps down from the platform and joins his new acquaintance.
The Guide starts to shake his hand and introduces himself:«My name is Najet, and I'm the Guide of Prophecy. It's a pleasure to meet you».
Ojtaro raises his eyebrow. «It's a pleasure too» he says. It's not. It's terrible to meet him, but he won't admit it. «Am I gonna begin those Trials?».
«Not yet. We must first know each other, and you still have to meet the other Prophets. Be patient, boy, and you'll get out of here since it looks like your biggest wish in this moment».
«My biggest wish in this moment is to not exist or to become a Creature of Light... But you are kinda right».
«You don't look like the Prince Alef».
«Should I?».
«You should be polite as he was».
Ojtaro shakes his head and chuckles. «And he created this chaos of world we are living in».
«You'll discover more when you'll start to... Understand».
The boy becomes quiet. Understand...? He should know something that he doesn't know.
A feeling inside of him is telling him that the Elders lied. They did, about the Prince... Oh.
