Valley (1) - Chapter 6

Once the crabs' speech is over, the silly Judy, the sweet Sentinekka and the innocent Orlando kneel in front of the Elders' meditation point.

They all open their eyes almost at the same time, and find themselves in the Coliseum Arena. Something, however, has changed: It's the middle of the night, and Lights that first look like stars but then turn out to be lively flames are shining in the sky.

Sentinekka wonders about what questions she could ask the Elders... She hasn't really thought about it.

Just at that moment, a confused silhouette slowly walks towards them without reaching them, but remaining well away from them. Here, surprisingly, it turns out to be the famous Twins.

Sah has short, spiky hair and seems shockingly shorter and less robust than his sister, who has hair that resembles a sort of triangle.

It's them, it's amazing. Of course, they want to amaze the Children. They do stunts, they also seem to challenge each other. They are very competitive.

Mekh kneels and shows trust and kindness towards the three Children, but the other one stands between them saying:«Good morning! How nice to see you! Everything is fine? Yes? Perfect, let's get to the point!». The first elbows him in the stomach, annoyed by her twin's hasty attitude, and then stands up and glares at him, who is trying not to complain of pain.

«I'm sorry to ask you this question like this, but could we use your Lights? Question of the Kingdom» Mekh asks, almost intimidated by the possible answers of the three.

Orlando proceeds to give them his candle, and so do Judylia and Sentinekka. She looks at the two with curious eyes. They are so... She just doesn't know how to define them, but they are very different for being twins.

Sah is going to steal the Lights from Mekh, but Sentinekka calls them both back by raising her arm and opening her palm. The siblings look at her attentively.

«I'd like to ask you a thing or two, if possible...» Sentinekka explains, trying to find the right words to communicate with Elders.

«Go ahead, little one» Sah invites her to talk. And Sentinekka asks:«So... Your names are Sah and Mekh, right? Is it true that they are just nicknames invented by you two?».

The two look at her, amazed. They stare at each other and turn towards her again. Suddenly, they point their weapons at her, as if to threaten her.

«Who are you?» Sah asks.

«And how do you know these things?» Mekh continues her brother's sentence, bringing her spear closer to Sentinekka's neck, who seems frightened.

«A friend told us!» Orlando exclaims, terrified, trying to bring his friend back, next to him. «We are not your enemies... Or similar. A friend told us this story, we didn't believe it could be true».

Sentinekka clings to his friend. She is happy that he is ready to help her. Judy, on the other hand, stares at it all silently, as if she doesn't know what to do or say.

The Elders of the Valley of Triumph hesitate for a few seconds. Sah is the first to put the weapon away, followed by Mekh, who still seems wary. «A friend... Well, it's the truth. Yes, these are our names and yes, we created them. I assume you know the reason». One tells the story, while the other holds the weapon in her arms. Her veins are showing somehow more, she's gripping the spear really tight.

Sen', Orlando and Judy exit the temple. It was a... Weird and kinda unsetting experience.

In the end everything ended well: no one died, no one was upset. Everything became clear. The Twins told her that she can find the information she wants in some libraries, even from the Elder of the Vault of Knowledge, but that they can't say much. It's okay, or at least she told them. They didn't have to feel forced, they weren't forced in fact. Searching is fine for her, she likes mysteries even if they are complex.

«Should we go to the Wastelands?» Orlando asks Judylia. Golden Wastelands? Who knows what they are...

«Not today, you have to get used to the atmosphere of each realm and you have to know what awaits you there, first of all. In two or three months you will be ready» the girl with the orange cloak answers him calmly. «In short, do you want to meet crabs, Dark Dragons thirsty for blood and Light, poisonous water, collapsing ruins...? I don't think so, not now».

So, the two Moths are taken to a new place...
