Vault - Chapter 13

«But, now, I can see that our time is fastly passing by» Lamed says in her wise and gentle tone. She makes every map disappear in her hands and continues:«Child, I think that you should go and begin your journey. But, before that, I need to ask you a small question».

«What is it?». Sentinekka looks at the Elder with curious eyes.

The deity asks:«Do you still have the jewel that the Forest Elder gave you one year ago at her temple?».

«I do, but I usually don't wear it» Sentinekka answers cordially. «I almost broke it, once, so I've decided to hide it in a safe place».

«Which place?».

«Under my... Bed, in the Village of Dreams... It is inside three different boxes, I really want to protect it at every cost. Why?».

«You really care about that crystal, don't you?».

«Yes. It is a gift from an Elder, after all. But, again, why?».

«Don't you know the reason of its importance?».

«No, I don't».

«It is supposed to represent my descendant's life. I'm glad you hid it, because a single scratch could cause pain on his skin».

«What?!» Sentinekka exclaims, shocked. With incredulous eyes, she adds:«Why didn't Oj' tell me?!».

«I actually don't know; maybe he didn't know how to do it».

Sentinekka hits herself in the forehead. «Oh, my goodness! Sometimes I wonder what's inside that guy's head! He can be such an idiot but... Such a clever person at the same time!».

«Oh, I do too. Don't worry. You are not the only one».

Sentinekka sighs and asks the Elder:«When I'll be gone, could you take care of that crystal? I don't want anyone to take it except someone who cares about Ojtaro. I can't bring it with me, it could be too much risky».

«I was planning to ask you if I could take it».

«Pefect, you can» the girl responds with a relieved look. «Now, if I have your permission... I'm going to start my mission».

Lamed, with her powerful magic, takes the jewel of the Forest and looks at it, then at Sentinekka. Her eyes shine brightly. «Go, Sentinekka. Don't forget, during your mission, who you truly are. Also, you can write letters to your friends until you reach the last area. Good luck».

«Thank you, my Elder. I'll do my best!».

Sentinekka kneels in front of the Elder and, then, she closes her eyes. She instantly finds herself in a new place, a room with grey walls and the symbols of the Vault, which are of a light grey color. On the same elevator of before, that now doesn't work anymore, there is a beautiful statue of the Vault Elder. The sculpture has a book in its hands: it's the same book that Lamed gave her. Behind it, there is a portal that leads to the Homespace and, near that portal, another one that must be opened with at least twenty Winged Lights. It takes to the Eye of Eden.

'Sometimes you have to make others talk too, right?''

«You've made a mistake, Lamed». A voice says this words behind her. She doesn't even turn around, she knows who is talking to her. He broke the spell of the Vault doors. Again.

«Tsadi» she tells him while staying still. «Go away. You should not be there. Why do you always break my doors? They are damaged again, and my students use most of their energy to repair them because of you».

«I'm here because I want to talk to you, now. I am done with your silence» he answers with an angry tone. «You keep ignoring the messages of my people. We once were united by the collaborations of our realms and friendship, but now... That's his fault. Why do you want to save that useless honking...».

«Don't you dare disrespect my dearest friend!» Lamed turns and shouts at him, while she uses her magic to push him away from her. «Go away, Tsadi. Don't bother me and my people anymore».

«Your people are dead people, it's a miracle that they still have feelings!».

«Every Spirit has feelings, but you don't. I told you and the others to never come back in my realm and they all listened... Except you».

«That girl will die, the others won't let her come back home» Tsadi tells her. His voice seems serious, but now nothing can stop the time. «Why did you choose her out of all the people? Our descendant is not supposed to love her and everyone knows it. They won't let her go back to him».

«Ojtaro knows that she's capable of coming back. You don't know her as he does».

«Resh doesn't deserve a saviour».

«He does». Lamed creates another new powder out of her hands and makes it floats towards the other Elder. With anger in her eyes, she concludes:«You are the one who doesn't deserve it. Don't you dare coming again, or I will tell Daleth about your terrible behavior!».

And he disappears, while he shouts at her with a concerned voice:«Lamed!».

She already feels that the doors are repaired. Her students and people are strong, but they need rest now. That is why she uses her magic to take them back to their places, so they can take a break from the day.
