The moon shines high in the sky. Sentinekka looks at it calmly, while Ojtaro and Symphony argue with each other.
Finally silence falls, and Ojtaro joins her.
He kneels beside her, who is sitting cross-legged with her red candle in her hand, and asks:«How can you be friends with that shrew?».
«Don't say that! She's not a shrew! It's just that she doesn't trust someone right away» Sentinekka justifies her best friend. He looks at her with kind eyes and says:«I know I don't sound like a great person, but I have my reasons and...».
«I know».
Ojtaro is surprised. He says nothing, until...
«Symphony has decided that she'll stay in the Daylight Prairie for a while. Meanwhile, you and I will reach the end of the Hidden Forest... Are you okay with that?» Ojtaro proposes, placing his hand on Sentinekka's shoulder.
«What?» she asks, concerned.
«We don't get along. And she wants to see if I can take care of you. Only in this way she'll be able to "fully trust me" or whatever».
After seeing the saddened look of the young girl, he tries to comfort her by saying:«Don't worry, the Forest is small, if you know where to go...».
«That's not it! Symphony just wants to protect me... You know that, however, she is sorry that this happened!».
«It's obvious, we're all sorry...».
«Why do you want to do it then?».
Stillness creeps between them.
«I wish I knew...» Ojtaro concludes after sighing. He gets up and walks away.
-----
Actually, he doesn't mind it at all.
He wants to teach Sentinekka everything he knows, but he knows he doesn't have much time.
«Remember, my son: when the preparations for the Lessons of Passage will begin, you must be there. Do you understand?». The Passage Guide had said these exact words to him.
And he had replied:«Yes, Guide».
Soon, he'll have to return to the Isle of Dawn. He must make sure that Sentinekka reaches the Valley of Triumph in time. The Forest is dangerous for a Moth. And, mostly, for a Moth like her.
-----
So... Symphony will only stay with her until the end of the Prairie? And then? What will happen? Will she and her best friend be separated forever? Sentinekka doesn't want to lose Symphony. She's cared about her since they met, since they first spoke to each other.
Symphony has always been the sister she never had. Oh, how can this happen? She keeps asking questions as she watches the sky fill with stars.
In her diary, she marks the route to travel, she manages to locate the constellation of the Dailight Prairie. They must overcome the two stones and that's it.
«That's all?» she wonders.
She would like to think positive, but what Ojtaro said makes her sad.
It hasn't even been a week and she already has to leave her best friend behind because she and Ojtaro don't get along. Sentinekka lets out a little and lonely sob, while trying to not be heard by her friends.
-----
Well, as I said, we have awakened a Spirit. A candle seller, I think. So Ojtaro told us.
Sadly, he and Symphony don't have a good relationship. Symphony has decided that she will stay in the Daylight Prairie, which we will cross tomorrow. Ojtaro and I will carry on.
But that's not right; why do they have to do this? I'm sure that, if they would try to talk to each other a little more, they would find out that they have a lot in common! But they only think about arguing like two kids. Is it possible that they just can't rethink their choices? Is it possible that they have to take everything seriously?
