Valley (2) - Chapter 3

«Are you telling me I have to wait for Sentinekka until this evening?» Ojtaro asks. He is silent for a second, then he adds:«Nah. How can I reach her? Where's she?».

«She was selected with me and a friend of hers as a Village Missionary. It's something that all the Villages have now. She should be in the Vault of Knowledge, right now... But I warn you: she is quick. She walks fast, she never stops. She's like... Like the time» the girl tells him, remaining mysterious about herself. She only talks about Sentinekka.

«How is she...? How much has she changed?» Ojtaro asks her, hopeful and intrigued. He would like to have some information before going to the Vault.

And the girl answers him cordially:«She's sweet, proud! A talent in music, if I may add, and she knows how to care for others as a mother would do. And, I'm not going to lie, she always talked about you and Symphony. You are her guide, she is her best friend... This is how I know you two».

The boy smiles, happy with the words he is hearing.

Finally, Ojtaro reaches the main corridor of the Vault of Knowledge. It is large, wide, with dark walls of the colors of night.

Beyond that corridor you can find all the information about the past... Or at least most of it. Unfortunately, no one cares about the past anymore. Strange. The Children of Light were once so curious.

If someone goes to the Vault, it's to do some quests or do some exploring.​​​​​​ Not to receive informations.

There is no one, the boy is alone. He thinks he is, before hearing a voice above him - between the second and third floors - gracefully singing some calm words.

«...It's Not A Temporary High».

Oh, it's her... Finally! Sentinekka has such a recognizable and different cute little voice! And only she would sing this Aurora song. Only she would do it.

«It's you...» Ojtaro whispers, smiling. He hasn't felt this moved in who knows how long.

Sentinekka doesn't know why she's singing. The Vault is a place that is capable of influencing those inside it. It is calm, silent! That's why Judy likes it so much!

«Her Storm Was A Temporary Light! And I Guess You Froze...».

She is just wasting some time. The girl has already meditated on the first floor, relived the memory of a Spirit - the most difficult one of all, where you have to walk along that row of rocks that rise up to a small island -, she has found the end of the Ancient Light rainbow and only needs to ride a Cosmic Manta. Then she will have to go towards the Daylight Prairie.

​​​​​​Then, suddenly, a voice from a few floors below her adds to the song.

«And You Never Got Warm Again!».

And so it goes on. The girl seems to run away from the new voice, as if she doesn't want to know him. She walks with fast and silent steps to escape that boy who seems to be calling her. She doesn't know him. She is sure.

She escapes, but also manages to finish her last mission. The Cosmic Manta, a typical creature of the Vault, welcomes her gently and accompanies her towards the top floor of the realm. She and the voice sing. And someone, a distant figure, slowly reaches her... Sentinekka decided to stay and, what a coincidence...

- As if it were a Disney film, to be honest... ​​- The two meet and their voices can barely be heard, they end with a kind of united whisper.

Sentinekka smiles, excited and giggles to contain her enthusiasm.

«Oj'!». The two friends, after not seeing each other for all that time, embrace each other affectionately. They remain like this for approximately a few minutes.
