Eden (2) - Chapter 13

He still doesn't understand why, but in less than half an hour he found himself in the middle of the Isle of Dawn.

His family and Symphony, Orlando, Youssef and, yes, every person who is part of the Friendship candle that is now standing in front of them, took him in the Isle for a surprise. He doesn't really like surprises, since the most of them are terrible news, and he has had enough of them... But Orlando gave a hint to him: he said that it's a beautiful thing that he'll love with all of his heart.

He could even cry again, as everyone says since they took him there.

And he has got a damn bandage on his eyes, so he can't see a thing. He can just count on his good hearing and touch to understand something about the current situation.

Sentinekka would have laughed and chuckled so much. She would have been so happy and joyful. If only she was there, by his side, while having fun.

The young and curious smile that he had on his face one second ago slowly fades away. He misses her so much.

Will he be able to walk without her?

He will... Yes. She's there, in his memory and in his heart. In his mind and in his soul.

He decides to ask:«Again, what are you guys planning to do?» for the hundredth time in that day. He's starting to feel anxious, really, and he doesn't know for how long he'll be able to stay calm outside.

Symphony exclaims:«Oh Megabird, be patient!». She's starting to be bothered by Ojtaro's frequent questions. «You're heavy, do you know that?» she adds with a tired sigh.

He instantly replies with a sarcastic tone:«Oh, dear Symphony! I'm sorry for being such a disturbance!».

«I was just joking, you know» she tells him with a serious tone. That voice, suddenly, disappears and becomes excited as the Prairie Elder when he sees a butterfly.

Ojtaro can hear a bunch of happy laughters and noises, but he doesn't really get the reason of the others' joy and feast.

«What's going on, you all...?» he asks. His voice sounds curious and confused. That bendage is like his stone mask, he'd like to throw it off and let it fall from a cliff.

«I think that» Horand says to someone. «We should take off the bandage. Shall we?».

That someone, Orlando, chuckles and doesn't answer. He probably nodded, but Ojtaro isn't really sure.

Finally, Horand sets free his eyes with gentleness. He doesn't really get the situation at first, but suddenly Orlando points at a place near the Passage Stone; he's indicating a Child that he almost doesn't recognize. Too much time passed, and it won't come back to fix everything... Because it's already fixed. Time itself managed to solve everything, it healed the Kingdom, somehow.

That Child is a wondrous young girl from the "Starting Point" that lived for an year in the Villlage of Dreams, a Child that had the courage to enter inside the Eye of Eden to save a dear friend and that had the determination to return from that terrible realm. The Child he thought he lost forever is here, in front of him, looking in his eyes with hope and happiness.

This is the most beautiful surprise he's ever saw.

Sentinekka immediately smiles while Ojtaro runs to her with excited and incredulous eyes. She's alive, after all of this time! She was never gone!

After all this time, they can finally hold each other in a hug that they thought would never come again. It's so warm and amazing.

Ojtaro feels like he could just fall on her, but he obviously doesn't let this happen. He may be tired, but she's probably more exhausted than him. Her journey was long, so long that they believed it was never going to end.

«Missed me?» she asks while chuckling. «Because you look like you did». She's amused, as if her death was funny, but she's also moved and doesn't cry just thanks to a miracle.

«Of course I did, idiot!» he instantly replies with a smile that never fades away. «I missed you so much...».

He doesn't let go of her, he would never do that after everything they both went through. Meanwhile, the people behind them are all looking straight to Oj', waiting for some words that he still doesn't know how to say.
