Quinn was walking past the bathroom when she heard someone inside throwing up. She paused, waiting until the door opened.

Beth froze when she saw Quinn.

"I heard you." Quinn blurted. "Anything you wanna talk about?"

"Can we talk later?" Beth requested. "I just wanna get some water and have, like, five minutes alone."

"Okay." Quinn nodded. "Daddy's gonna be home soon with your sisters and brother."

"I'll be in my room." Beth decided before walking away.

-

"I'm gonna go talk to Beth." Quinn said.

"About what?" Puck questioned Quinn.

"She was throwing up earlier." Quinn stated.

"So?" Puck wondered.

"So I'm concerned." Quinn noted.

"Maybe she's just sick?" Puck shrugged.

"No." Quinn shook her head. "I heard her throwing up last night and yesterday morning."

"We should talk to her." Puck decided.

"Let me do it." Quinn requested.

Puck nodded slowly. "You sure you wanna handle this on your own?"

"Yeah." Quinn said. "I'll keep you posted."

"Good luck."

Quinn excused herself and went upstairs to Beth's room. She gently knocked on the door. "B? Can I come in?"

Beth didn't answer, so Quinn peeked into the room. She entered and closed the door behind her.

"Beth." Quinn said softly, looking at the teenager, who was lying there with her eyes closed and earbuds in. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Quinn tugged on the earbuds, and Beth opened her eyes.

"What?"

"I wanna talk to you." Quinn said. "Two minutes."

Beth took the earbuds out of her ears and sat up.

"You've been throwing up." Quinn said. "Enough for me to notice, and I wanna talk about it."

"I'm fine." Beth insisted.

"I'm not in here to accuse you of anything or make you feel like you can't talk to me." Quinn began. "But I wanna know what's going on with you."

Beth looked at Quinn.

"I wanna help you, B." Quinn said. "Whatever it is."

"I'm not pregnant, if that's what you're asking." Beth told Quinn.

"Okay." Quinn replied. "That's good, right? Did you think maybe you were?"

"No." Beth said.

Quinn nodded slowly. "I know this is hard to talk about, but I'm here for you. You're not in trouble or anything, you know that."

Beth bit her lip and nodded back.

"Have you been making yourself throw up?" Quinn asked.

Beth didn't say anything.

"You're so beautiful." Quinn told Beth. "You're pretty and smart, and perfect."

"I'm not." Beth argued. "Not like you."

"Beth." Quinn sighed.

"I'm too tall, and I'm not tiny or, like, elegant and classy like you." Beth stated. "I don't have the talents you or Dad have and-"

"Your father and I never wanted you to be us." Quinn interrupted. "You're everything, B. You're always so kind to everyone, even when you can easily be a bitch to them."

Beth smiled slightly.

"You get good grades, you have great friends." Quinn continued. "You're a good daughter and an even better big sister, you're loving, you're creative and fun."

Beth nodded.

"You're not alone in feeling like this though, Beth. When I was younger, I stopped eating." Quinn informed Beth. "I wanted to be thinner, and I wanted attention from boys."

"Then what happened?" Beth wondered.

"It worked, but I felt horrible. My body was hurting and my hair thinned out. I was always cold or nauseous." Quinn explained. "I passed out more than a handful of times."

"Really?" Beth asked.

"There were moments where I was doing better and other moments not so much, but I always kept it hidden from my family." Quinn explained. "It wasn't until I got pregnant with you that I started to really heal and stop obsessing over what or how much I ate."

Beth looked at Quinn.

"You saved me." Quinn added. "And I'm gonna save you from this, too."
