Same Mistakes (Quick/Shelby)

"Noah, I need to tell you something."

"I have a feeling I know what you're gonna say, so before you do, I have to say something."

"Okay."

"I slept with Shelby. One of the days that I went over to see Beth, it just sort of happened."

"You slept with Shelby?!"

"It was before you and me started hanging out again. Besides, we didn't really put a label on things, so it's not like I did something wrong."

"She's our teacher! She adopted our daughter! God, Noah, you can be such an idiot sometimes."

"I know, and I'm sorry, but she doesn't mean anything to me, Q."

"I can't believe this is happening again." Quinn said softly.

"Did you at least use protection this time?" Santana asked.

"We did!" Quinn responded. "I'm supposed to graduate in three months. I'm supposed to go to college."

"You can still do all of that." Mercedes encouraged Quinn. "Or you can defer for a year and figure this out."

"Does Puck know?" Tina asked.

Quinn nodded slowly. "He knows, my mom knows, his mom knows."

"How are they all taking it?" Rachel wondered.

"My mom's disappointed, but I don't think she's surprised, Ruth's ready to kill us, and Noah's fine." Quinn answered. "He and I still have a lot to talk about, but we wanna make things work this time."

"So you're not gonna give this one to Shelby?" Brittany asked.

"No." Quinn shook her head. "We're planning to keep this one, and then we'll get Beth back and-"

"How are you gonna do that?" Sugar interrupted.

"I have a plan."

"Hey."

"Hey." Quinn smiled.

"How ya doin'?" Puck asked, offering Quinn the cup in his hand.

Quinn looked at it.

"It's tea." Puck replied. "I remember you drinking it like crazy last time and I thought it would help."

"Thanks." Quinn nodded accepting the cup. She sipped the drink and looked at Puck. "Are you free for lunch later? We could eat in the choir room and talk?"

"Yeah, that sounds good." Puck said. "I'll see you then."

"See you." Quinn repeated, watching as Puck walked away. Quinn closed her eyes and took a deep breath before throwing the drink out and hurrying to the principal's office.

"What the hell did you do?!"

Quinn looked at Puck.

"You just got Shelby fired." Puck informed Quinn.

"That's what she gets for fooling around with a student." Quinn shrugged.

Puck shook his head. "You know, I thought everything with Beth made you grow up, but you're still the same mean and selfish girl you've always been."

"I did this for Beth." Quinn stated. "She deserves to have a mom who would do anything for her and put her first. She deserves a good mom."

"And you think that's you?" Puck asked. "You still think you're Little Miss Perfect? Look at you, Quinn. You're a freaking mess."

"Of course you'd take Shelby's side over mine." Quinn said, rolling her eyes.

"I'm not on anybody's side except Beth's." Puck clarified. "But you just got Shelby fired. She's a single mother who now has no job and no income to provide for Beth."

"So you and I will be there when they take Beth away from her." Quinn added.

"Did you really think that's what would happen?" Puck asked. "We're never gonna see her again."

Quinn shook her head. "No, we're getting her back. Or at least I am."

"What are you talking about?" Puck wondered.

"My parents' lawyers have been working on it before I even found out about you and Shelby." Quinn noted. "So I don't care if you're in or out, but I'm in."

"I was in." Puck stated. "I wanna be in, but what you did to Shelby and Beth feels wrong."

"Beth's never gonna know what I did." Quinn said. "She's not gonna remember Shelby, and once I leave Lima, I'm never coming back."

"That's not the point, Quinn." Puck replied. "Don't you wanna make this right?"

"If you can't see why I did this, then I don't need you." Quinn told Puck. "I can raise Beth and this baby without you."

"Beth cries when you hold her." Puck reminded Quinn. "You really think you can handle her and another one on your own?"

"I didn't say on my own." Quinn pointed out. "I said without you."

"Quinn." Puck sighed.

"I'm not doing this." Quinn muttered as she got up. "I'm not gonna go through this all stressed and miserable again."

"Quinn, just-"

"I'm gonna go."

"Quinn, wait."

"I'll see you later."

"Hey." Puck said softly as he walked over to Quinn at her locker. "I'm really sorry about earlier."

Quinn continued going through her locker, not acknowledging Puck.

"I shouldn't have called you mean and selfish and a mess, and I'm sorry, Quinn." Puck apologized.

Quinn still ignored Puck.

"I don't want this to be like last time either." Puck added. "I care about you and I wanna be there for you, and for it. And Beth."

"Really?" Quinn asked.

"Really." Puck confirmed.

"What made you change your mind?" Quinn questioned Puck.

"I wanna be on your side." Puck stated. "I was talking to Finn and he made me realize how horrible Shelby's been to you, and to Rachel."

Quinn nodded slowly.

"You sacrificed the most for Beth and you got the least in return." Puck continued. "So yeah, I'm with you. I wanna get her back, and I wanna do things right this time around, and I want us to be a family."

"Then you have to graduate." Quinn told Puck.

"I'm gonna." Puck swore as Quinn's phone went off.

"That's my mom." Quinn noted as she grabbed her phone and put it to her ear. "Hi, Mom. Any news?"
