Quinn grinned as she walked out to join her castmates in taking their bows. Her grin faded when she saw Puck's seat in the audience was now empty.
Still, Quinn faked a smile as she celebrated a successful night with her castmates.
As soon as she got back to her dressing room, Quinn dialed Puck's number. He didn't answer so she hung up without leaving him a message.
"Quinn."
Quinn looked up at her castmate. "Hey, Josh."
"Hey." Josh smiled. "You killed it tonight. A bunch of us are gonna go out to celebrate. You and your boyfriend should come. Or at least stop by."
Quinn glanced at her phone and paused for a moment. She turned the phone off and nodded. "Yeah, that sounds like fun."

In the morning, Quinn woke up to a knock on her apartment door. She sleepily walked over to it and opened it, rolling her eyes at the sight of Puck and the bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"Q." Puck began. "Just let me explain."
"Explain what?" Quinn asked as she walked through her apartment, heading back to her bedroom. "How you disappeared on my big night?"
Puck closed the apartment door and followed Quinn. "I know, but just listen so I can-"
"Where did you go?" Quinn demanded, turning to face Puck. "What was so important that you had to leave my show?"
"Rachel called me." Puck said.
Quinn shook her head. "I'm not fighting with you about Rachel again."
"Good, let's not fight." Puck replied. "Just listen."
Quinn didn't say anything.
"I left at intermission because Rachel called me and she needed help." Puck told Quinn.
"What was the emergency?" Quinn wondered, folding her arms.
"Well, she thought she was locked out of her place." Puck noted.
Quinn furrowed her eyebrows.
"Kurt and I are the only ones with the spare keys to her place and he and Blaine are away." Puck noted. "So she called me."
"But she wasn't actually locked out?" Quinn asked.
"By the time I got there, she was inside." Puck said. "But she was drinking and then she started getting all sad and needy."
"And then what happened?" Quinn questioned Puck.
"She was upset and she tried to kiss me, but I stopped her and I told her I had to go." Puck explained. "But I was afraid to leave her like that, so I waited."
"Noah, I needed you last night." Quinn said softly. So softly and calmly that it was almost scary.
"I know, but I was trying to be a good friend." Puck noted.
"Try to be a good boyfriend!" Quinn exclaimed. "You're rarely ever in New York, and when you are, Rachel always comes first."
"I'm just trying to take care of her for Finn." Puck said.
"Don't make this about Finn." Quinn shook her head. "They weren't even together when he died."
Puck looked at Quinn.
"When we got back together, you promised me that you would do whatever it took to be with me." Quinn reminded Puck. "And I need you, too. I needed you to be there when I had that miscarriage, I needed you to be there when I finished college, and I needed you to be there when I made my Broadway debut."
"I'm sorry." Puck apologized. "I'll make it up to you."
"How?" Quinn asked.
"To start, how about you accept the flowers I brought and let me make you breakfast?" Puck suggested.
Quinn paused as she thought it over. She slowly shook her head. "Noah, I can't keep doing this."
"Quinn."
"If Rachel is more important to you than me, just-"
"She's not."
"Well, then if you don't want me, then say that."
