"Can I talk to you guys for a sec?" Hudson requested, joining Quinn and Puck in the den.

"Of course." Quinn said. "What's up?"

"I've been having second thoughts about college." Hudson confessed.

"What?" Quinn frowned.

"Well, I was just thinking that maybe if I did something else first, it would be better." Hudson stated.

"Like what?" Puck wondered.

"Like if I join the military, they'll pay for school when I get discharged." Hudson shrugged.

"You wanna join the military?" Quinn questioned Hudson.

"I've been thinking about it." Hudson said. "To honor Dad and Finn."

"Okay, first of all, you didn't know Finn." Puck muttered. "Second of all, those aren't good enough reasons to enlist, and third of all, I don't want any of you joining the military."

"I know that you got hurt, but-"

"The Air Force changed my life." Puck interrupted. "I mean, yeah, I survived it, but I wouldn't wish the anxiety or the PTSD on anybody."

"But that's not guaranteed." Hudson pointed out.

"You're a Puckerman." Puck reminded him.

"But-"

"Quinn." Puck said. "A little help here?"

"Sorry." Quinn apologized. "I'm honestly just confused. Hudson, you've never been interested in this before, and if it's about the money, you know we set aside money for all of you for college."

Hudson didn't say anything.

"Plus you got really good scholarships." Quinn added.

"If you don't wanna go to Yale, we can talk about that, but you're not trading your mother's footsteps for mine." Puck told Hudson.

"I just don't know what my next move should be." Hudson stated.

"That's not up to anyone but you." Quinn told Hudson. "But I agree that the military isn't a good idea."

"But not everyone in the military has issues after." Hudson said.

"That's true." Quinn agreed. "But you also weren't around when your father was away or when he came home. It was hard."

"Yeah, and even though it's not guaranteed that anything will happen, I don't think it's worth the risk." Puck added. "Especially when it's an impulsive decision."

"Wasn't it impulsive for you?" Hudson asked. "That's what Beth said."

"It was, and maybe that's part of it." Puck answered. "But still."

Hudson looked at Quinn.

"You need to do what makes you happy." Quinn told Hudson.

Hudson nodded slowly.

"But you're not joining the military." Puck shook his head before leaving the room.

"You're not disappointing me if you choose not to go to Yale." Quinn told Hudson. "I only want you to go if it's what you want."

"I know that." Hudson said.

"So think about everything." Quinn advised Hudson. "But no military, okay?"

"Okay."
