Didn't Want This (Puck/Finn/Sam)

"Crap." Puck hissed, missing another shot.

"Dude, you suck today." Sam commented.

"Why don't we take a break for lunch?" Finn suggested. "We can talk."

"No, let's keep going." Puck insisted.

"Come on, I'm starving." Finn said.

"Yeah, me, too." Sam nodded.

Overruled, Puck took a break and sat down for lunch with Finn and Sam.

The trio looked over their menus and placed their orders.

"So." Finn began. "Wanna tell us what's going on?"

"I'm good." Puck replied.

"So you got bad at basketball overnight?" Sam joked.

"I just have a lot on my mind." Puck shrugged.

"So talk." Finn said. "Maybe we can help you out."

"Yeah, I'm really good at advice." Sam insisted.

Puck took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"Did Quinn take sex off the table?" Sam teased.

"Me and Quinn are good." Puck responded.

"What's going on, dude?" Finn wondered. "We're worried about you."

"Beth's pregnant." Puck blurted.

"What?" Finn questioned Puck.

"She just told me and Quinn." Puck confirmed. "The baby will be here in the spring."

"Whoa, seriously?" Finn raised his eyebrows.

Puck nodded slowly.

"Wow." Finn muttered. "What did Quinn say?"

"What's she gonna say?" Puck shrugged.

Finn bit his lip.

"Is Beth coming back to L.A.?" Sam questioned Puck.

"She's here now." Puck nodded as his phone went off. He looked at the screen before declining the call.

"That her?" Sam guessed.

"Jake." Puck clarified.

"You can take it." Finn said.

"No, I'm good." Puck noted as the phone went off again. He huffed.

"I got it." Finn offered, taking the phone. He turned it off and pocketed it before looking at Puck. "You and Jake aren't talking?"

"I asked him to look out for her in New York." Puck informed Finn. "This isn't looking out for her."

"Beth's gonna be okay." Finn promised. "You and Quinn were."

"She's not us." Puck pointed out. "We didn't want this for her."

"Quinn's parents didn't want it for her either, but Quinn still turned out fine and her mom got to be a good grandma." Finn reminded Puck. "You and Quinn will get to be grandparents."

Puck shook his head.

"What did you say when she told you?" Finn asked.

"I dunno." Puck muttered. "Quinn said I freaked out on her."

"Did you?" Sam wondered.

"I tried not to, but I don't know, maybe." Puck answered.

"Puck." Finn frowned.

"I didn't want this for my kid." Puck replied. "She has no idea how hard this is gonna be."

"It'll be even harder without you." Finn pointed out.

"Finn's right." Sam agreed. "Beth's gonna need you, and Quinn."

Puck nodded slowly.

"And you're gonna need us." Finn added. "And Jake."
