Confrontation (Rachel/Shelby)

"She's sleeping with Puck."

Rachel couldn't get Quinn's words out of her head. She was so shocked and disgusted to hear them, especially since she knew it wasn't a lie or a rumor.

"Rachel."

"Hey." Rachel smiled as she looked at Finn. "I was just coming to wish you luck."

"Thanks." Finn said. "Without you, we could really use it."

Rachel nodded slowly.

"Wanna come see everyone else before we go on?" Finn asked.

"I should go grab my seat." Rachel replied. "But I'll see you out there."

"See you." Finn nodded as he kissed Rachel lightly.

"Break a leg." Rachel added before walking away.

Rachel headed down the hallway to Shelby's classroom.

"Rachel, hey." Shelby said when Rachel entered. "I was just about to go to the greenroom with the girls. I'm really sorry about your suspension."

"Is it true?" Rachel demanded.

Shelby furrowed her eyebrows.

"You and Puck?" Rachel asked.

Shelby looked Rachel in the eye and nodded slowly. "I'm ending it. Not that there's anything to end since it only happened once."

Rachel shook her head as Shelby continued.

"Well, twice. But he and I both know that it was a mistake."

"A mistake?" Rachel repeated. "He's a student! He's your daughter's biological father. I dated him."

"I know." Shelby said softly. "And you have a right to be upset, but-"

"You're a terrible person and a horrible mother." Rachel went on. "You used Jesse to make me find you and then you said you wanted nothing to do with me. You adopted Quinn and Puck's baby and left, and then you brought her back here just to hurt me. And Quinn and Puck."

"None of that is true." Shelby argued.

"I had to go to therapy because of you!" Rachel exclaimed.

Rachel and Shelby were interrupted by a knock on the door. They turned to look at Puck.

"Have either of you seen Quinn?" Puck asked. "We're about to go on and she left the auditorium a little while ago. I thought she was in the bathroom or something, but I didn't see her through the peephole I made so Tina checked and she's-"

"Puck."

Rachel looked at Mr. Schue, who had appeared by the door.

"Quinn's with Principal Figgins." Mr. Schue stated. "Puck, you and Rachel should go, too,"

"But I-"

"Go, Puck." Mr. Schue interrupted. "Miss Pillsbury's there."

Puck sighed and gave Shelby a look before turning to Rachel. "Come on, Berry."

"Miss Corcoran and I will be right behind you." Mr. Schue promised.

"Will, can't this wait until after the competition?" Shelby asked.

"No, it can't." Mr. Schue shook his head. He paused and looked at Puck and Rachel.

"Quinn was right about you all along." Rachel told Shelby. "I hope they take Beth away from you."

"Rachel." Shelby said. "I'm..."

"Sorry?" Rachel guessed, shaking her head. "Stay away from me."

"Rachel, wait, I-"

Rachel quickly slapped Shelby across the face before hurrying out of the room.
