"Hey." Puck smiled as he greeted Quinn with a kiss.
"Hey." Quinn smiled back. "What's got you in such a good mood?"
"You." Puck answered, wrapping his arms around Quinn. "Our anniversary's coming up."
"Ten years of marriage." Quinn nodded as she put her hands over Puck's.
"A whole decade." Puck grinned. "I was thinking we should celebrate it."
"What'd you have in mind?" Quinn wondered, looking at Puck as they parted.
"We never had a honeymoon." Puck pointed out. "So I wanna take you on a trip."
"When and where?" Quinn asked.
"The Bahamas." Puck answered. "I found a hotel, and I have a whole itinerary planned. All you have to do is say yes. And pack a bag."
"You're gonna fly to the Bahamas?" Quinn questioned Puck. "It's, like, seven hours away."
"So? I'll have Max with me." Puck reminded Quinn.
Quinn nodded. "Wait, when did you wanna go?"
"Hanukkah ends the twentieth, so I thought we'd fly out the twenty-first or-"
"That's Grace's birthday." Quinn interrupted.
"I thought we could go the twenty-first to the twenty-ninth and be back for New Year's Eve." Puck continued.
"I don't wanna miss Grace's birthday or Christmas." Quinn shook her head.
"So you wanna fly to the Bahamas on the twenty-second and fly home on the twenty-fourth?" Puck questioned Quinn.
"No." Quinn answered.
Puck furrowed his eyebrows.
"I wanna go there." Quinn clarified. "And I wanna celebrate our anniversary for once, but I don't wanna miss the holidays and the traditions we have with the kids."
"Isn't Beth coming?" Puck asked. "Can't she and my mom babysit and then we can celebrate Christmas when we get back?"
"The kids aren't gonna wanna celebrate Christmas a day or two before New Year's Eve." Quinn shook her head. "They want their presents, and Beth's gonna wanna spend time with her friends."
"Alright, then scratch all the stuff I spent hours looking into." Puck replied. "We just won't celebrate this year."
"No, I want to." Quinn insisted. "I wanna go, and more importantly, I wanna spend time with you. I just don't care where we are."
"This is the first Puckerman marriage that made it this far, and I wanted to do something special." Puck said softly.
"And we will." Quinn promised.
"We've celebrated it, like, twice in the past decade, Q." Puck stated.
"We should've planned better when we got back together." Quinn teased.
Puck looked at her, unamused.
"I appreciate you planning and looking into this." Quinn told him.
"But?" Puck prompted Quinn.
"But why don't we book something for your birthday or something, and just get a hotel room for our anniversary?" Quinn suggested. "We can spend the whole day out and alone and come back home on Christmas Eve. That way, we won't miss anything with the kids."
Puck shrugged.
"Will you at least think about it?" Quinn requested.
"The last time we went away for my birthday, you got pregnant." Puck said, shaking his head.
"Noah." Quinn frowned.
"No, it's cool." Puck promised before excusing himself.
Quinn sighed as she watched Puck walk away.
-
"Noah."
Puck didn't answer.
"I know you can hear me." Quinn said as she entered the music room.
Still, Puck didn't answer her.
"How long are you gonna give me the silent treatment?" Quinn demanded, nudging Puck.
"I'm not." Puck noted. "I talked to you all day on Christmas."
"Barely." Quinn replied. "And you ignored our anniversary."
"I got caught up in work." Puck shrugged.
"No." Quinn shook her head. "You don't get to act like a child because we didn't go on a trip."
Puck opened his mouth to speak, but Quinn continued.
"We have four kids, Noah." Quinn said. "They come first."
"I know that." Puck nodded. "And they should, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't get any time alone either."
Quinn looked at Puck.
"We had an anniversary before we had them." Puck added. "Well, besides Beth."
"You're being unfair." Quinn stated.
"Am I?" Puck wondered, folding his arms. "I've always been the one to plan things for us, and I like doing it, but sometimes it's like you don't even care."
Quinn took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She turned around and walked out of the room.
"Quinn." Puck called as he got up. He followed her to their bedroom. "Now who's being childish?"
"Still you." Quinn responded, digging through her nightstand and shoving papers at Puck.
"What's this?" Puck asked.
"I planned a trip." Quinn said. "We're going to Greece to celebrate our anniversary."
"What? When?" Puck wondered.
"The end of June." Quinn explained. "The kids will be out of school, but your mom and Beth agreed to look after them, and we'll be back for the barbecue."
"Now I feel like a jackass." Puck said softly.
"You should." Quinn told him with a small smile.
Puck laughed lightly. "I'm sorry, Q."
"You can make it up to me on our trip." Quinn said, smirking suggestively.
"Oh, I will." Puck nodded, putting his hands on Quinn's waist.
"Promise?" Quinn asked, wrapping her arms around Puck's neck.
"I promise."
