Therapy (Quinn)

"Hi, Quinn. It's nice to meet you."

"Hi." Quinn repeated.

"I looked over your intake forms, but they weren't very detailed, which is okay. It actually gives us a good starting point."

Quinn didn't say anything.

"Why don't you tell me why you're here?"

"I'm here because my glee club coach and my guidance counselor sent me here." Quinn explained. "I'm out if I don't come."

"Out of glee club?"

"Yeah, they're, like, out to get me or something." Quinn muttered.

"Why do you think that is?"

Quinn shrugged.

"Is there anything you can think of that you might wanna talk about since you're already here?"

"No." Quinn replied.

"Nothing?"

"Nothing." Quinn confirmed.

"Can you tell me why you're out of glee club?"

"Because I got the other group disqualified from competition and disbanded." Quinn answered. "But they deserved it."

"Why did they deserve it?"

"Because their coach is a disgusting person." Quinn responded.

"Why do you think that?"

"She slept with Puck." Quinn said softly.

"Who's Puck?"

Quinn didn't say anything.

"Is he a boyfriend?"

"Not really." Quinn shook her head.

The therapist looked at Quinn, waiting for more.

"We've been hanging out." Quinn noted. "We've never exactly been boyfriend and girlfriend, but we have history."

"It sounds like the other group's coach being with Puck hurt you."

"No." Quinn said. "It's complicated."

"Are you comfortable elaborating on that?"

"We had a baby together sophomore year and gave her up. Shelby adopted her and took her to New York." Quinn explained. "She brought her back to Ohio this year, but I wasn't allowed to see her."

"Was Puck?"

Quinn nodded. "Shelby told me to clean up my act, but Puck has a lengthy criminal record and he can see her whenever he wants."

"And that's what hurts you."

"Shelby is an adult and was our teacher, and it's disgusting and completely inappropriate for her to sleep with Puck." Quinn continued. "It's doesn't matter that he's eighteen."

"So you reported it."

"And of course that makes me the bad guy." Quinn said.

"Well, Quinn, you're not the bad guy. You did the right thing."

Quinn shrugged.

"Have you and Puck talked since Shelby left your school?"

"No." Quinn shook her head. "He told me I'm selfish and I should stay away from him."

"Do you want to stay away from him?"

"No." Quinn admitted.

The therapist looked at Quinn, encouraging her to continue.

"I don't care about being with Puck." Quinn said. "But I like spending time with him and that's not just because of Beth."

"Did you have a good friendship last year when she was still in New York?"

"No." Quinn replied. "We didn't speak all year."

"And how did that make you feel?"

"I just needed space because he was a reminder of what happened." Quinn explained. "But in hindsight, he was hurt, too, and we could've been there for each other."

"Have you talked about that?"

"Yeah." Quinn nodded. "We both had some regrets about it."

"Do you think you'll regret it if your friendship ends now?"

"I know I will."
