Quinn sent the text and put her phone down. She paced back in forth, grabbing her phone when it chimed with Puck's response.

Quinn pocketed her phone and waited for Puck to arrive.

"Hey." Puck said when he entered the apartment.

"Hey." Quinn repeated. "I hope I didn't pull you away from anything important."

Puck shook his head. "I was already on my way when you texted."

Quinn nodded.

"So." Puck began, closing the door and looking at Quinn. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just need to talk to you." Quinn stated.

Puck furrowed his eyebrows. "Beth's asleep?"

"She's out cold." Quinn informed Puck.

"Okay." Puck said. "Then what'd you wanna talk about?"

"Us." Quinn replied. "When I was putting Beth to bed, she was asking me all these questions."

"Like what?" Puck wondered.

"She asked me why you and I are always fighting." Quinn answered.

"She did?" Puck frowned. "What'd you tell her?"

"I didn't really have an answer." Quinn replied, biting her lip.

Puck didn't say anything.

"I hate it." Quinn said softly. "All we've done since you've been back is fight, and I hate it."

"I hate it, too." Puck agreed.

Quinn looked at him.

"I do." Puck insisted. "That's why I'm never around."

"I need you." Quinn told Puck. "Even if it's just for her, I need you."

"I know." Puck nodded. "I mean, look at today. You called me and I came running."

"Yeah." Quinn said.

"I always will." Puck promised, pausing for a moment.

"Beth asked me if you and I love each other." Quinn informed Puck. "And I told her we do."

"Well, I do." Puck nodded. "Of course I do."

"But are you still in love with me?"
