"Noah."

Puck looked at Quinn.

"School starts tomorrow." Quinn reminded Puck.

"Yeah." Puck nodded. "It's gonna be okay."

"We're gonna be away from Beth all day and then we'll have glee club and homework, and you'll have work and football and-"

"It's gonna be okay, Q." Puck interrupted. "Beth is in good hands and we'll see her when we're done."

Quinn bit her lip.

"I'm gonna be here." Puck promised.

"I know that." Quinn said. "I'm not worried about that."

"Then what is it?" Puck wondered, taking Quinn's hand.

"I don't want things to change." Quinn responded. "I'm not ready to be away from her, and I'm not ready for things to change between us."

Puck furrowed his eyebrows.

"I know that sounds stupid, but-"

"It's not." Puck shook his head. "But you know you have to go back to school. I'm not gonna let you become one of those online school chicks, or a dropout. You're too good for that."

Quinn smiled slightly.

"And nothing's gonna change between us." Puck promised. "I'm not gonna do anything to ruin this."

-

"Welcome back, Daddy."

Puck raised his eyebrow as the group of Cheerios passed him. He shook it off and finished at his locker before closing it and heading to class.

Puck was distracted during class. The truth was, he couldn't stop thinking about Beth. He and Quinn had been with her all summer, usually together, but she always had one of her parents with her.

Throughout the day, Puck kept checking his phone, knowing what time Beth would wake up, eat, cry, and nap. He felt a little better at lunchtime when he had a break.

"Hey, how's it going, man?" Finn asked.

"Good." Puck nodded.

"Good." Finn repeated. "The new football coach wants to see me after school. I'll keep you posted."

"Cool, thanks." Puck responded.

"You should eat and, like, nap or something." Finn suggested.

"Yeah, I wanna find Quinn." Puck noted. "To check in."

"I haven't seen her." Finn shrugged.

Puck nodded and walked away. He grabbed lunch for himself and Quinn and then left the cafeteria.

"Looking good, Puckerman. Or do you prefer DILF now?"

Puck looked at the Cheerio from earlier. "Do I know you?"

"Not yet."

"Yeah, uh, I'm kind of with someone." Puck stated.

"For now."

"What?" Puck asked.

"Until you get bored. Besides, I'm sure the President of the Celibacy Club isn't putting out."

Puck ignored the girl and continued walking until he reached the choir room. He closed the door behind him and turned to greet Quinn. "Hey."

"Hey." Quinn repeated.

"I brought you lunch." Puck said, joining Quinn. "How's it going?"

"It's mostly just been stares and whispers." Quinn answered.

"Mostly?" Puck repeated.

"Yeah, the only comments I heard were from one of the girls on the Cheerios and one of the guys on the football team." Quinn nodded.

"What'd they say?" Puck wondered.

"She said I was a lucky bitch for losing all the baby weight so fast." Quinn answered. "And he said my boobs must be at least two cup sizes bigger 'cause they're huge."

"Well, you did and they are." Puck told Quinn.

Quinn laughed lightly and shook her head at Puck.

"Sorry." Puck apologized with a chuckle. "How are you doing today?"

"I'm okay." Quinn shrugged. "You?"

"Good." Puck shrugged back. "Did you find a place to, like...?"

"What?" Quinn wondered.

"To pump." Puck clarified.

"Oh." Quinn nodded. "I actually haven't figured out where to do that yet."

"Aren't your boobs gonna get sore?" Puck questioned Quinn. "Or, like, won't the milk, like, stop?"

"They're already sore, and yes, the supply can change if I don't pump like I've been." Quinn answered.

"Why don't you just do it here?" Puck suggested. "I can guard the door for you."

"I'm okay right now." Quinn replied. "I just wanna eat."

"But don't you think-"

"Let me eat, and then I'll go to my car, okay?" Quinn interrupted.

"Okay." Puck looked at Quinn. "Well, I'm glad you're not in here 'cause you're upset or anything."

"Yeah, I'm good." Quinn said.

"That's good." Puck noted. "I'm really glad to hear that."

"Has anyone said anything to you?" Quinn wondered.

"Just some DILF comments from one of the Cheerios." Puck admitted. "It didn't even turn me on."

"It didn't?" Quinn questioned Puck.

"Yeah, it was kind of weird, but I guess I don't look at girls the same since I have a daughter now." Puck shrugged. "I mean, the attention is cool, but I have my eyes on my girls."

Quinn smiled slightly.

"Honestly though, today's been really hard." Puck confessed. "I just miss her."

"Me, too." Quinn nodded. "But my mom's been texting me throughout the day. Beth's doing great."

"Yeah, good." Puck said. "It's really good that she's not, like, freaking out without us or anything."

"Yeah." Quinn agreed. She bit her lip. "Well, we should call since we're both here. Not to check in, but just to say hi."

"Yeah, let's call and say hi."
